My friend and I came here for Harbor Days. There were sand castle compititions, tugboat races, toyrs of a restored, hundred year old historic steamship, as well as a replica of a sea faring schooner, which you can pay to sail on for two hour incriments. There were local craft vendors as well, and the boardwalk, with rotating art installations from local artists was interesting to read about as well. I do wish the volunteers were better prepped as not one had any idea where the tugboat race would occur or where the finish line was, but it was still a very enjoyable day. There are multiple eateries along the well kept boardwalk as well. If you are a boat lover, enjoy small town boardwalks or just visiting the area, it's worth a visit. There is a tower by th north end of the marina where you can walk up a few flights of stairs for a wide view of the city and marina. There is no cost.

This Port and its History show a long track of avoidance of important Enviromental policies.

They tout Enviromental Stewardship, yet, in watching and participating in their commission meetings. One gets the impression of avoidance, and a Reluctance to change.

Recently fined by a US District Court after a long saga of failures in the Stormwater Treatment process, they are now concerned about financial stability.

If this Port is Going to weather the times they need to abandon the Old Ways, and become Transparent to the Community.

Only then, will they begin to regain trust from the Community.

Judging the actions of the newish Executive Director Andrea Smith, they've regressed in Transparency to the Public.

Most of their long term plans have been failures. Once again they fail to listen to Public Opinion concerning the Proposed South County Airport now being reviewed. The stench you smell downtown is NOT Tide Flats... It is Port Policys and...
