This place was aweful to my mother and sister who currently live here. Prior to move in they were promised all these things and as soon as they moved in and signed the lease the manager and owner went back on their word. They were promised to have my dog over to visit, have a cat, be able to park with no fees and enjoy all amenities down stairs. The lady who showed us the apartment even signed the lease for my mom in front of me on the computer without confirming this was okay with my mother!!! How illegal is that!!!!Ever since then they have made it their mission to make my mom miserable in her own home. It feels like they are staying in a hotel instead of a home. The manager is constantly calling and complaining about little things such as us walking around too loudly, dropping something off the balcony on accident, having guest over and other things. My mom just wanted to be comfortable in her own home and be able to walk around as she wants but they are controlling and mean! They are now charging fines for parking which we were promised at the showing and upon lease signing!!!! Also my sister has gone down to the lobby a few times without a mask but remained social distanced and is getting fined for this as well. With covid this is something she should be doing but the things is they don’t even wear a mask in the lobby either!!!!!!!!!! Do not stay here if you want to live in a quiet comfortable and drama free home!!!! This is not the place for...
Read moreLife is filled with "next chapters" and if your next chapter is downsizing then HH should be a consideration for a variety of reasons: *Exuberant caring staff who will listen to concerns, your input, your considerations. *Beautiful 5 star hotel feel with 3rd floor amenities *Safe location, within walking distance to restaurants, boardwalk, Farmer's Mkt, Olympia's downtown *Apts. with views of the Sound, capital bldg. Mt. Rainier, Olympic Mts., marina, cityscape, waterscape (spectacular sunrises/sunsets) *Secured bldg with secured parking and secured mail room area *Quality appliances *Great for entertaining family and friends whether using the Sky Terrace sitting around a fire bowl, sipping on coffee (or wine!) in the lounge area or in your own apt/"home"
Aspects to consider, however: *Neighbors' footsteps above can be heard *The heat pump system is noisy and heat is uneven, thermostat is manual and not programable *Toilets are 17" high and not 19" *Any enhancements done such as wall mounted shelving, medicine cabinets, tv racks, taller toilets must be removed and repaired upon moving out. *Street noises *Be sure to accept a thorough orientation when offered as there is much information!
WELCOME! Enjoy and embrace this next chapter of your life at Harbor Heights! ~Libby...
Read moreI've lived and flourished here for 18 months and have recently signed a new lease for another 18. Here is a short list of 5 aspects of Harbor Heights living I enjoy and appreciate.
The building. 4 resident floors, many with awesome views, plus an amazing terrace and indoor common area. Multiple fire pits, movie theater, kitchen and game room with pool table and shuffleboard and much more.
The staff. A member is on duty 7 days a week. All are very helpful and pleasant.
Location, location location. So much within easy walking distance: Farmers Market, Boardwalk, restaurants, shopping, Senior Center, marina and much more. You don't even need a car.
Secure Parking. Adjoining parking structure where you and your car are always safe and protected from weather.etc.
I moved here from Kentucky with zero friends or family living in the area. No problem. HH residents are welcoming and wonderful. We love to do things together. In the next few days I'll be seeing a night of comedians, attending a concert by a longtime favorite band and a Mariner game, all with different resident friends.
Bottom line: I'm happy here and could add several more features and benefits to the above list but 5 is enough for...
