T.J. Maxx — Local services in Olympia

I was just in the Olympia TJ Maxx store at 5:35 pm on 1/23/2019.

The "manager" Colby T. Was horrible!

Sarcastic and extremely rude.

I have a defective leather purse purchased for my daughter at Christmas. The strap completely came off. I have the tag, receipt an d it was paid for in cash. Only 40.00 before tax. Colby informed me that since it left the store no defective that it cannot be returned!!!! I am I going to find out quality control issues until one uses product???

He mimicked an d said it left the store intact!

My question then is TJ Maxx does not guarantee their products?

I asked for his bosses number an d he flipped through a binder and didn't seem to be able to locate contact for his supervisor???

I have not been this disappointed in a retail experience in a long time.

I shop at your store regularly and had no idea that if an item I purchase fails it can't be returned?

I just purchased a suitcase from you 3 weeks ago, so, I asked what if handle broke off or something as leaving my house? He said hope, we couldn't help you. It was fine when it left the store!

My purchase didn't have the anti-theft device removed (not sure how I got out the door with it). I live very far away and didn't discover it until I got home. I called and spoke to the manager to explain and was told to just bring it in, which I eventually did and the alarm went off when I walked in with it, I looked around and not one employee looked at me!
