I recently I took my watch in to have the band re-sized. I felt confident in the fact that they would be able to do this simple task as they have a neon sign in their window that states they provide "watch repair" I handed the women my watch and she measured it on my wrist and assumed that three links needed to be removed. She took my watch behind the counter and was perplexed by it as she proclaimed the screws have been "plated over". I informed her that there were two screws on the same side of the link that needed to be removed per link. She then told me "we have done 100's of these Invicta's". I guess that should have been my first idea they were incompetent. The watch I handed her was not a $79 Invicta it was a $6000 Breitling. Any jeweler worth their weight in salt should know the difference. She then called a few other people over and they continued to be baffled. I again told them that there were two screws per link on the same side. She then called the "jeweler". He cam out and inspected my watch and first told me that the band was not adjustable. Sure, you can only have one size wrist to wear this watch! I then explained to him how to do it and he was just as confused as the rest of his moronic staff. I told him to reinsert the ONE screw and I will take the watch to a real jeweler. I didn't even need to to that, I went to Lowe's and purchased a $5 screw driver and swiftly adjusted my band in about 3 minutes.
Please save your money and use a real jeweler, this...
Read moreTheir customer service is very good. I've never had a problem with them personally. And the owner is a very nice man. However, the reason I'm only giving 3 stars are for the false advertising on google. They say they repair watches, but they no longer have someone in house that fixes watches. If you need a watch repaired, they have to send it out and maybe you get it back in 6 weeks with a $20 non refundable charge. They can change batteries, and they have watch bands, but they have limited medal replacement bands for Seiko ladies watches. They are a Seiko official dealer, but don't have a lot of selection for ladies, either in watches or bands. Another issue is that they are overpriced. I needed money a while back, and I knew that the owner bought gold. I turned in a gold men's bracelet for cash. Got $300. They still have it and they are asking over $1200 for it. Maybe the price of gold has gone up, but not that much. The owner does give top dollar for gold, but if they try and resell it, they ask way more than what it's worth. At least in this case. They do have nice jewelry, but if it's not new, they...

I have not encountered such poor customer service in quite some time—likely because I generally choose not to frequent establishments that operate in this manner. My husband and I stopped in while waiting for the rain to pass and decided to inquire about having his Cuban link chain appraised.
A young woman with long dark hair approached us to “assist.” When we asked if we could have the chain appraised, the exchange went as follows:
Customer: Can I get this appraised here? Employee: Yes, but I just work here. So no, I can’t do that for you. Customer: (confused) Okay, so then how does an appraisal work? Employee: The jeweler. He’s the professional, and he does that. And I told you he wasn’t here.
At no point prior to this did she inform us that the jeweler was unavailable. Instead, the interaction came across as dismissive, unprofessional, and unnecessarily rude—leaving the impression that she had no interest in earning our business.
Establishments should be mindful of the staff they place on the front line, as one poor interaction can easily discourage potential customers from...
