Wowza, not a pleasant shopping experience.
I went over to the changing room where an apparent manager was instructing a new employee on changing room protocol. Said manager apparently didn't like my mask and, unprompted, commented 'Just so you know, we are going back to pre-covid requirements.' To be clear, I did not bring up that topic in any way. I had just walked up and politely greeted them. I ignored the comment entirely.
Before allowing me into the changing area, said manager brusquely demanded that I return the clothes back on the right hangers when I'm done. It was not a polite request. It was said with in the manner that you would if you were directing an unruly child. Dear reader, I'm in my mid 30's. It is worth noting that this was an impossible request because not one of the items had a hanger that matched it's actual size.
BOTH of the stores only 2 fire exits had low battery alerts going off every 20 seconds. By design, this alert is an intermittent screech which is extremely unpleasant to listen to. You are supposed to find it so unpleasant that you change the battery immediately (which is quite easy to do). Annoyance aside, it's also a safety issue.
The register queue area is a mess in the sense that it has about 8 turns in it. It was like something out of a comedy sketch. I used to work in retail management at national retail chain and I can tell you from experience that I would get taken to task if I set up a queue with more than 4 turns in it. I was the only customer in line and having to zig-zag back and forth, back and forth, back and forth while the cashier watched left me feeling silly and embarrassed. That's not a thing you want a...
I stopped by not looking for anything particular I picked up a belt, dry shampoo, leave in conditioner and slippers as I was walking up to get in line to purchase these items I looked at the jewelry I saw something I wanted, I pushed the help button nobody came, I saw a lady look like she might be in charge walk up to the jewel case she told the 2 cashiers something she looked at me never greeted me or asked if I needed help she just walked away. So I push the help button again and I waited and nobody showed up to help me and once I the same lady the one that looked like she was in charge help one of the cashier and looked at me again and says nothing to me and walks away, I was thinking this is the second time she never greeted or asked if I needed help, so I asked if one of the 2 cashiers if the could help me and one put her finger in the air and said we will be with you shortly without even looking at me. The 2 cashiers talked to one customer after they were done they didn’t even come and ask if I needed help. The customer service was horrible not once was I greeted or asked if I needed help. I didn’t purchase anything that I had put into my cart. I worked in retail for 25 + and I always greeted and asked if they needed help. Customer service should and always be number one for if you don’t give customer service you will not have any customer and your business will fail. The 3 of them need to take a customer service course. The date of my shopping experience was 10/1/24. I will say the store was clean and a lot of product to choose from that’s why they got a 2 on their...
Read moreIf I could give less than a 1, I would. The customer service there is awful. Employees chit chat amongst themselves instead of focusing on the customer in front of them. I waited in line for a good 15 minutes to get to 1 of the 2 employees at the register. The young man who came available to help me barely said a full sentence. “ Do you want a bag? “ Then a coworker came up to him distracting him with logistics of a break schedule that could have waited. All that was needed to be said was “when you are done with this customer, take your lunch.” And done. However, they continued to chat. I couldn’t tell you what because they were speaking their native language. Which is fine. I don’t care. But after several minutes, I got the attention of the girl distracting the young man from focusing on his job at hand and asked her if she would stop distracting him so he could get me ring up and let me leave. She stated she was telling him the blah blah blahs of whatever and that I could calm down. Mind you, I didn’t raise my voice or act rude. I just wanted out of the store. So, instead of continuing to wait on my purchase (which was already totaling 165.00with more to be ring up) I left and let her know that she has lost a large sale. Apparently the company making money doesn’t impact her in her opinion so she didn’t care and stated as such. Well, a large sale and a repeat customer no longer spending money in your store does indeed impact you. And the now abandoned items at the counter impacts...
