The outdoor area has a nice casual atmosphere and there are plenty of umbrellas for shade. I did appreciate the fact that they had ciders on tap and gluten free beer. The downsides: “bus your own table” normally this would be fine, but what happens when the previous guest does not bus their own table? You are left with their trash. Yes about an hour later a server came and took some glasses away but I had to get rid of all the baskets of finished food and trash, which involved handling it all and sorting it into the correct trash dispensers... Had the bussing station had some hand sanitizer available that would’ve been ok, but it did not. Gross!
The restroom. (Not plural) I don’t mind having one restroom for all guests but that means it needs to be kept clean and stocked more often. The floor was covered in toilet paper, and low and behold, out of the two tp dispensers both were empty. Another gross! The fact that there was an almost empty roll of tp on top of the dispenser suggests someone went in there placed a roll on top and didn’t bother to refill them. Maybe the guests are supposed to bus their own toilet...
The food... so I ordered a burger with no bun, it came on a bun, and you’ve guessed it, it was just removed from the bun and put back in the basket, a big no no for gluten issues. I ordered it with a side salad. No utensils... I asked for some and was told I could just grab them (which meant reaching through the food pick up window and handling more than just my own) gross. My husband ordered a burger with no onions... it came with onions, and you’ve guessed it, they were just removed (not all of them) and the burger was handed back. If you don’t like onions you know that you can still taste them when they’ve been on your food. Lastly his burger came with fries which were not even warm. And an added bonus no napkins to be seen anywhere. Lastly someone was also smoking by the end of dinner so the entire area smelled like cigarettes. Not impressed at all! I don’t think I’ve ever written a negative review of this length but hopefully these issues will be addressed so others don’t have to deal with it...
Read moreMy family I had an excellent first meal at Oregon City Brewing Company last weekend. We shared some pretzels with cheese dip a round of beers. I had the Creamy and Dreamy Stout, which is made and house and is one of the best beers I've tasted in awhile. It went great with the pretzel, which was also really good and also house made. You could tell it had been baked fresh before it was sent out. We also shared a schnitzel and some sausages. Both were fantastic. The staff was very friendly, they had a nice bigscreen inside playing the game and there's a great view of the street for people watching. There was a great mix of people so it seems like anyone would feel comfortable there. If I lived in the area, we'd be in twice a week, but I will be stopping by whenever I am in town. It is definitely a relaxed envirnonment. They ask you bus your own tables and the furniture isn't exactly first class. So, if these types of things offend your delicate sensitivities, this may not be the best place for you, but otherwise, I would highy recommend anyone to give this...
Read moreWhile the food selection is pretty minimal, I had a sausage hot dog and it was genuinely some of the best sausage I’ve ever had. I don’t like kraut or mustard but I’m sure both are delicious. I recommend the beer cheese with whatever you decide to get. The salad was very unique and refreshingly flavorful. My friend had a charcuterie board and the meats and cheeses I tried were all very good quality with rich and complex flavors. I’m not a beer person really, but the beer selection is staggeringly large…so much so that there are a few I’ll likely try in the future. They make their own colas…cream soda and root beer. The root beer was good and I’m really looking forward to trying the cream soda. Only two wine options, the Pinot Noir was tolerable.
Just a heads up, the place seems to be under construction (April 2022), making the dining room rather cramped; and the only restroom option was a port-a-potty, but I also did not see a hand washing location. That doesn’t mean there wasn’t one as I did not ask. I just used...
