03/13/2022: 4.85 out of 5 - This review is long overdue. I started coming to Coasters Crossing back in December 2021 at the suggestion of a friend of mine that said, "Coasters Crossing has the BEST chicken strips...", and honestly, who can ignore that? Not a long time, but there have been many meals since then. So, one of the nights I ran with my running group in Milwaukie, and we all agreed to try Coasters Crossing for dinner. What a surprise! There were many choices on the menu. And, on top of that, the prices were very reasonable. We've come in for dinner many times together, and separately to introduce others to Coasters Crossing. Many times upon entering, the staff were always quick to address us and get us seated. Every one of the staff were friendly, attentive and personable which obviously makes a more enjoyable experience as patrons. The establishment is kept very clean. The tables and seating are kept quite clean, as well. The bathrooms have always been seemingly clean all the times I've been there, which makes a big difference, in my opinion. And, I do often check out the vents above at every eatery I go to, which were very clean at Coasters Crossing. One of the evenings, we inquired if Coasters does breakfast. Apparently, I must have been under a rock for not asking earlier, as they do, and the running group was happy to hear because that gave us a new breakfast place to try. I'll tell you all, Coasters Crossing delivered! The breakfast is very tasty and priced very well! I usually do my "go-to" breakfast test by getting the Biscuits & Gravy with a side of sausage, and coffee. However, Coasters Crossing does it better! I can do the Country Fried Steak with Biscuits & Gravy! It was amazing! On top of that, our coffee cup was always filled on many of the breakfast excursions. Many of the "foodie" runners have returned on their own with their family and other friends, as well as myself. Not one disappointment. All were good experiences. All in all, at the end of any meal I often will ask, "Would you come back?" My answer for Coasters Crossing? Since the staff are great, the food and drinks are tasty, and the establishment doesn't partake in any form of discrimination. And, there are more menu items I want to try the next time around. So, yes, without a doubt. By the way, the chicken strips ARE AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! As I always say, if you ever get a chance, definitely try it once and decide for yourself. Enjoy! Note: Even though the masking requirements for indoor spaces have been lifted, there are establishments still requiring masks and COVID cards, it was nice to see this eatery in the greater Portland area not requiring masks or COVID cards. It's a great to see Coasters Crossing not partaking in any of the Social Discrimination Policies that some restaurant owners/management are choosing to still do.

I rarely write a 1 star review but this experience definitely warrants it. We live in west linn, recently moved to the area and thought we’d give this place a shot. It’s the number 1 google result for ‘dog friendly restaurants near me’ in OC/west linn. We get there and the waitress working the patio on Thursday barks at us “No dogs up here”. We’re clearly confused and let her know they’re the number 1 result for dog friendly restaurants in the area. Her response: “The signs right there.” To say we were fuming with her customer service would be an understatement. I’ve worked in restaurants for a total of 7 years and have never had a co worker or staff be intentionally disrespectful like this. Safe to say we won’t be trying this spot. Did some digging too and the consensus is the food is subpar. Luckily doesn’t seem like we missed much.

Friendly welcoming staff. Great happy hour. Nice atmosphere with the kind of 50’s styling. I would add that our server Katie was delightful. Also of note there is a mobility device ramp. Update: 4/8/2022 I have now been here 3 times. All 3 visits have been delightful. Today I got the shrimp basket, plus a couple of happy hour drinks. Do you know how many places I have been to that removed the shrimp tail? None. This place does. The shrimp basket including a choice of sides (went with onion rings) is very inexpensive. The happy hour drinks? $5 for a mai tai, and this isn’t from a pre made mix. It’s very tasty and has a good amount of kick. I absolutely love this train siding place of destination!

We went here for Mother's Day 2019. It wasn't super busy upon arrival (or departure). We arrived around 9:35 and it was over 40 minutes before our orders were taken. Our food arrived around the 1.5 hour mark. Our 2 year old was incredibly patient. The new server working brought us some crackers upon request to tide over the little one, thankfully. In my opinion, they should have profusely apologized as it was terrible terrible to show up for breakfast at 9:30 and not eat until 11. They acted like nothing was wrong, and then brought the $101 bill with no discounts offered or anything. I was shocked and fully expected some offering for our patience. The Moms in our group were beyond patient and deserved much better on Mother's Day. This review would not be happening, had they made an effort to make it right. We told 2 different servers when it had been over an hour, still nothing but "I'm sorry" for the bad service. Shout out to my Baby, Baby Mama, and Baby Mama Mama for holding it together. I was furious. They brought us the wrong food once during this, then took it away. They should have offered it to us to feed the little one at least. No salt and pepper on table, had to ask for waters, yadda yadda. Just not a pleasant experience. Especially for a place that...

I really was looking forward to trying this place. We showed up and got seated right away. Ordered our food and waited. First, the server forgot my beer. The food arrived and was good but I had ordered Garlic Fries and received normal fries. At this point, I was slightly put off by the quality of service provided by our server, but what really got to me is when we got our check. There was no itemized portion of the check so I could not see what we were charged for. Furthermore, it said %18 gratuity next to the tip line. I don't know if they pre added the %18 or if it was the suggested. No way to know with the bill I was provided. The food was good but the quality of service provided by Devin was unacceptable. He kept saying how "busy" he was, but there were plenty of empty tables. He also acted "put out" by our presence. The other server I saw was busting his butt. Maybe if we got him, I would have had a...
