Horrible customer service. DON'T SHOP HERE!!!! My mom (72 years old) and did an online order. She ordered 1 box of 6 Christmas ornaments and then Gatehouse sent her 6 boxes. It took a lot of "looking into it" by Gatehouses warehouse team. It turned out she had only ordered 1 box of 6 ornaments. She returned the items that they had accidentally sent out, we thought they would make it right as she drove 40 minutes each way (thinking they would do a store credit or something for bringing the items back that were sent out by Gatehouses mistake). Gatehouse said: "With that timeline, this order and the resolution has been considered complete for over a month. We feel this mistake and compensation has been resolved, including making several exceptions to our company policies. We do acknowledge and appreciate that you did return the boxes that your mom had received." MY MOM FIXED THEIR MISTAKE BY BRING BACK THE EXTRA PRODUCT THEY HAD SENT OUT. They did absolutely NOTHING to compensate her with a store credit for bringing back their product.
I went into the store on January 11 and explained the situation. They responded with "we are not the same company and will have to have you email Gatehouses warehouse team". They were incredibly rude, acted stuck up, and like they couldn't figure something out to help a customer. They couldn't be bothered to have someone interrupt their conversation to help find a resolution for a customers order. I do not recommend shopping here if you want to be taken care of as a customer or have good customer service!    Read moreI’m so disappointed in their service! I have purchased a lot of things from this store but it seems to have gone downhill. I had an order waiting to pick up. Their hours are very difficult when you are not close or work. One day I got to the store at 5:05 the doors were locked, that’s fair. Today I got there right at 5 o’clock after 40 minutes of driving in unexpected traffic, and when the worker saw me coming, she shut the door while I was on the sidewalk, locked it, and even though I knocked just to pick up my order quickly, she wouldn’t let me in. Very uncool. I understand wanting to leave on time, but not even entertaining a question when someone is 5 feet away is really unprofessional in my opinion. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and listened to what we were looking for specifically. We had the pleasure of dealing with Regan who was super personable! She took us around the whole place discussIng our taste and specifics and offering her two cents on some furniture pieces we were looking at.
