I’ve been dying to try this place since I started hearing about a new fast-casual dining Brazilian restaurant was opening in Orem.
The restaurant is easy to find and really cute inside with colors that reminded me of my home country, Brasil. It’s smaller than o expected and almost all tables were full, which is always a good indicator.
I ordered a classic feijoada and my wife the grilled chicken plate. We also added a side of Fries Yuca—a classic and a favorite of mine growing up in Recife—and I also ordered suco de Maracujá(passion fruit juice).
The feijoada was delicious. The fact that it came with a piece of ribs was delicious. That reminded me a lot of eating feijoada in Brazil back in the day. The rice, farofa, vinagrete and collard greens were also delicious. When mixed together, it was the perfect bite. One of the best feijoadas in the area, compared to other Brazilian places in the state.
The passion fruit juice was delicious, it tasted authentic—better than some places where it tastes fake. The yuca was spot on. Not oily, but juicy and not dry at all. My wife said it was too salty, but It was just perfect for me. Also, my wife wasn’t crazy about the grilled chicken. It tasted like something you get at Cafe Rio or Chipotle. Nothing special—or Brazilian—to it, to be 100% honest. It wasn’t bad, but it want special either.
I am super happy we ate here. I need to come back for the other dishes but I am super excited to have another Brazilian food...
Read moreWe love this place! The food is delicious, the amount of food you get is more than fair for the price, and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful!
We visited this restaurant for the first time when we found a coupon for their “Combo #1”. A “Combo #1” essentially lets you add a side and drink to your meal—the sides are delicious, we got Fried Polenta and Fried Bananas, they also tossed on a piece of Brazilian Cheese Bread to each of our plates which was very kind and delicious.
The overall amount of food was more then we could finish but it was all very good—we loved that not only did you get meat, rice, and beans, they also include a delightful side salad with every meal. They load it fairly well too (cucumbers, quinoa, green olives, cherry tomatoes, and some sort of pico with either ranch or a vinaigrette). They have your basic sodas, but they also had 3 Brazilian fruit drinks as well which were very sweet and delicious.
The staff was very helpful—we had eaten at Brazilian restaurants before like Tucanos or Rodizios but never at a place like Pitada Brazil and she helped us know what to get. She was so kind and that alone made us happy with the restaurant experience—and then we ate the food and knew we were going to visit again in the near future.
So, to reiterate the reason for the 5-star review is that the food is amazing, the cost is more than fair for the large amount of food, and the people that work here are so incredibly nice...
Read moreI ran into this Brazilian restaurant quite by accident. I was rushing to get lunch and using Google maps to pick up something from a Mexican restaurant nearby and ended up seeing this place first. I walked in and it was a small place with a small menu and so I wasn’t sure if I could get anything because I eat a predominantly plant based diet with a little fish on occasion. I asked the woman (whom I presumed was the owner) if she had anything that fit my diet. She was SO pleasant and so helpful and before I knew it, I had a beautiful and delicious lunch that made me feel great after eating it instead of tired or weighed down! The prices are great and the food is great and the service was great, and I think that’s a rare thing these days to have all of those attributes in one place, so I will definitely be back to this...
