Had a bad experience Picked up my grandma a CD player I asked the cashier if I could return it if it didn't work she said yes so it ended up not working I came back and went through the door the customer service lady said that I can exchange it which wasn't as good as getting your money back but that's okay so I end up going through the store find something I like go back to the cashier tell them what the lady said at customer service she starts going through my items then she finds that one doesn't have a tag I think I offered them something for it when I was last there because it didn't have a tag so I was trying to find the price anyway I handed my receipt in the lady call over an assistant manager and they said they didn't do Returns on electronics when the last two people I had worked with said they did anyway was not able to get my money back or exchange not happy buyer beware I wouldn't recommend buying any Electronics from them we're other things that you can't test and I wouldn't trust anything they say at least that is my opinion at this moment maybe there was a big misunderstanding I don't like to leave bad ratings so I'll just leave at 3 star rating it seems fair to me
Update there's also watch out for Karen that's not her name or at least I'm not sure if that is anyway she works there and wanted to speak with her manager freaks out over little things I was in there with my mother while she was visiting and my mother said she never seen Karen until then so that basically his only need to say just pretty insane the manager there was pretty nice she looked really sorry and embarrassed so I feel real bad for her
Also I've seen a lot of items Marked up in price from yard sales and other things even one that was on clearance and you could see the official store was selling it for like $3 less than what they were selling it anyway
I have gotten great deals in there just always feel worried and sometimes they don't stock the shelves for weeks most of the tripods are always overpriced and most of them are broken missing the quick release plate or just right up snapped missing shoe Parts other things I saw an audio standing there for almost a month and a half they had it listed for too high especially because it was broken I don't believe they're trying to overpriced it's just some of the things are listed way too high the clothing is definitely a no-go unless you want to empty your pocket sometimes they'll get something that's okay
Before I left utah I had another bad experience at this store I drive a small electric bike and so when I go to stores I bring a back pack so I can buy groceries I don't want to leave it outside for obvious reasons and I thought that a non charity thrift store would allow backpacks just like all other stores I have gone into the way this store runs is all customers are trash so treat them like that of course there is the nice odd one out that generally is a good person and has the decency of treating customers over all good anyway I just got harassed and told that I could have backpacks in the store because of covid 19... Ya covid 19 how those two are correlated I have no clue and this wasn't at entering the store this was at leaving the store after purchasing things have bought tons of stuff from the store even with the many bad experiences I've had
why did I say non charity thrift store Well that's because your purchase does not directly benefit any charities they keep playing it over and over again the whole time you're...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience was, hmmm, let's talk for a moment...
I was actually feeling a little disappointed when I left.
It was the price that I had paid for these 3 cheap table lamps, the cheapest they had.
(I mean, all they are being used for is blacklight-bulbs, that, along with some blacklight-tapestries, make for great nightlights).
I guess when I think about it, it's not like it was a bad price, I didn't feel taken advantage of, or anything like that.
I just think they could have, done-better, for me, and here is why I say that-
I never go there.
(There is another "used-stuff" store, in town, that I have gone to occasionally, but, even they are not my first go-to, because "used-stuff" isn't my first go-to).
What was I looking for?
I thought, if they would have knocked a bit off, since I was buying 3 of them, having an experiencing like that, that could have changed my entire thinking process.
The interior and exterior of the store were what you'd expect, for a Discount/Used Stuff store, as was the Customer Service, (or lack of it).
My whole experience was all pretty typical, what I expected, there was nothing that made me miserable, where I left storming off, mad, or anything like that.
But, I know what is going on in my financial picture - I know what caused me to walk/roll, (I'm in a wheelchair these days, hint, hint), through the front doors of a "used-stuff" store, for the first time in many years.
They had a chance, possibly the only one, to "WOW" me, to make me think of them every time that I need any kind of "stuff".
They might've kept me coming back repeatedly, if they had knocked $1.50, or $0.50 per lamp, off of the price, for buying 3 of them.
That's all I'm saying!
That's a small investment, if you have a forward thinking, big-picture, long-term perspective.
Why not take every opportunity you can, to "WIN" your customers business and brand loyalty, by giving them little "WINS", with little "WOWS!", that'll stick in their memories.
Sorry Savers, but based on this experience, you won't be popping into my head, first thing, next time I need "stuff", like the variety you typically carry.
Just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUsed to be an awesome place until they maxed out on greed. You used to be able to find great clothes and try them on, but then they got rid of the dressing rooms and instead opted for you to have to buy the the clothes first and then return them later if they didn't fit. Only problem is that not only do you waste gas money driving back and forth, but you also only get "in store credit" for your purchase. I've had multiple occasions where something didn't fit only to not be able to find anything suitable in the store to exchange it for and just had to accept the fact that Savers got my money and I received clothes that I couldn't wear in return and ultimately had to give away. Pretty freaking sleazy. They also get 100% of their merchandise for free and sell it at a premium without giving back to the community in any way. If you are looking to help the community while still getting a great discount I highly recommend shopping at Desseret Industries or UGLY'S Closet in Pleasant Grove. Desseret Industries creates jobs and rehabilitation for people who have disabilities/are in need of employment coaching. UGLY'S Closet directly helps struggling single mothers in the community. Savers does none of that. Finally, they switched from announcing their store hours and closing times over the intercom to instead having employees stalk and hound customers to get out of the store at a minimum of thirty minutes before closing. I cannot count how many times I have shopped at Savers and had five employees tell me to get out in the span of three minutes despite it being half an hour before closing. As someone who struggles with social anxiety this can be extremely awful and nerve wracking. And just to clarify, no, their intercom is NOT broken. It works perfectly fine, Savers just thinks harassing customers is an appropriate...
