The very few times I'm on vacation in the States I try to visit this store because of their good deals. Today I was really looking forward to finding shoes and sneakers. I found a pair of Dr Scholl's gray boots, I tried them on and fitted perfectly. It found a good deal on 2 other pairs of sneakers and went to the register. There, an associate started to scan the boots and she wouldn't say anything, instead she just started to move back and forward to another register while trying to remove the price tag, which btw took her more than 5 minutes because it was so well stucked that she couldn't remove it completely without breaking it.
She then told me that the price was not right and that it was a different size because some other client placed the tag. I told her that it seemed really weird since it was so well glued, and she wouldn't offer me any other options but kept on showing me the price on the register and repeating the number (which was not a good deal anymore) while asking me if I wanted them or not. I said no and paid for the sneakers. At some point another associate came to the cashier next to ours and started to serve another customer. I thought about asking the name of my cashier but since her English was very difficult to understand I didn't do it. Instead, I spoke to the other associate (who evidently was aware of the whole situation) and told her that It was really uncomfortable to find that the prices were wrong and it was not my fault (even though they kinda make you feel like it was). The lady said completely indifferent: “Do you know how many times a day I hear that?” I was shocked, I only managed to say that it would be better if they'd said that to the manager.
I mean like really?? I'm terrible at making decisions and spent some time trying to find the real deal, finally I made a choice just to find out that a perfectly glued price tag was not the right one and I could have got another different pair.
I can understand an error, but I expected an apology, another option or at least some empathy and a different attitude from TWO associates who are almost the last persons in the value chain… at least that would have happened in any store similar to this...
Read moreMy husband and I stopped by this store while visiting from out of town. While the store offers a good selection of clothing, the customer service left much to be desired. I waited in a long line for a dressing room for about 10 minutes, during which the employee assigned to manage the area was sweeping and standing nearby but not actively assisting anyone. I assumed the fitting rooms were all taken, but when I finally got to the front, I noticed that several rooms were actually empty. It was unclear why customers weren’t being let in sooner.
Eventually, another employee stepped in and allowed us to enter the rooms. Then, after I finished trying on my clothes and put them back before exiting the dressing area, the employee that was standing around got in my face and accused me of being an undercover officer. I told her I don’t even live in Michigan & then ignored her as she continued to try and argue with me and went into the restroom. On my way out, the employee starting shouting again about me being undercover. It was truly the most bizarre retail experience I’ve ever had. I’m assuming the employee isn’t well which is why I didn’t get too upset but I still feel the way she acted was really inappropriate. Also, people should be actively manning the dressing room area during a busy...
Read moreUsually very friendly employees and a great place to shop. I went today to pick up an online order, there was a middle-aged Asian lady who was at that counter (I did not catch her name), who I asked to open my package for me so that I could leave the large box there, there was just a single item inside.
She cut the tape and then pushed it towards me and told me to go take care of it because she had to help other customers. I looked behind me and I saw nobody. And, quite frankly I believe I was the customer that was being helped?! I didn't appreciate that at all.
I just wanted to dispose of the box so I didn't have to do so at home and this employee really lacked professionalism and courtesy. On a side note; she did not ask to see my ID or my order number email, so I guess you can just walk up and point to a box and she will hand it to you, no...
