Bird Watchers' General Store — Local services in Orleans

I wanted to shop here but now I get my bird seed from Agway in Dennis, MA where there have tons of bird seed and feeders. When we went to the Birdwatchers General store there was a sign that said curbside pickup only We wanted to look at the seed because be were not sure what we wanted and we wanted to make sure we are getting best quality to fill the 12 bird feeders on our new property. The boy who was working said to that we were supposed to shop from the parking lot because ( of COVID) everything was all lined up on the porch so we could see it. But no bird seed in sight.. I asked if we could see what they had available for bird seed on line and he said no. I asked what kinds they have and was told they have like 12 kinds. It was then I decided I didn’t want to spend my money there because he seemed like didn’t want to help us find what we needed. I’d like to comment on a review by Geoffrey Reuland which is defaming the name of the store. I have only good things to say about this store. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and it has always been a great place! I was there on the day he came in with this complaint, and listened in because he was getting loud about it. He left a glass birdbath outside with water in it during freezing temperatures, and it’s more than common sense that glass with water in it when it freezes will expand and crack the glass. He claimed it was defective and wanted another for free because it was the store’s fault. He clearly wasn’t happy with the fact they wouldn’t give him another for free. If you have a reasonable complaint about a product they will definitely fix the issue for you! I was in the store this morning to get a warranty replacement part for my bird feeder. The lady that was helping me was very nice but said we don't replace parts due to age

She turned to another person to see if they would replace it. He said they would but clearly he was AGITATED. I told him I never had a problem returning parts for replacement before. I still got a blow off answer, not very happy. I told him if it isn't covered I wanted to pay for it. I left the store and got iny car and told my wife, we agreed that we should pay for it.
