Visiting Cape Cod from out of town and wanted to support this local cute shop. I bought a $42 tiny bottle of perfume (5ml) Upon leaving I noticed the scent fades fast - like within an hour which is ridiculous for a perfume oil. I contacted Olivine Atelier who makes the perfume and they told me to reach out to the store. When going back to the store only a few days later which is not near the town I am staying in, their only response was final sale - wouldnât let me exchange it for one that may be stronger. I told the staff that the manufacturer told me to contact them since thatâs where I bought it. The owner wasnât in so I asked them to call her figuring sheâd have some common sense on customer service but they wouldnât and told me to come back when sheâs in even after expressing Iâm not close to the store and today we head back home to NJ. I understand every store has a policy but I would think this would be worthy of a compromise and not met with attitude. Obviously a larger retail store or even the manufacturer directly (had I purchased from them) has a policy that is in support of the customer - not just the store.
