As a Lo Cicero I know good Italian food isn’t just about ingredients—it’s about soul. And at Cibo, soul is served in every bite.
Antonella and Nick, my first cousins, have created something truly special in Orleans. Yes, I’m partial—but not just because of blood ties. I’m partial because Cibo is a place where tradition meets taste, where every dish whispers stories of Nonna’s kitchen and every corner feels like home.
From the moment you walk in, you're wrapped in warmth—like a hug from your favorite aunt who insists you eat more. The aroma of simmering sauces, the gleam of fresh mozzarella, the cheerful clink of espresso cups—it’s all part of the magic. Their panini are pressed to perfection, the cannoli are crisp and creamy, and don’t even get me started on the gelato. It’s not just dessert—it’s a memory.
Cibo isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a love letter to our heritage, a celebration of community, and a reminder that food made with heart always tastes better. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor: step into Cibo, take a deep breath, and let yourself be transported.
Grazie mille, Antonella and Nick—Vi...
Read moreNice place, very friendly staff, they had great espresso, the hot cocoa was pretty good, though it lacked the richness I was expecting. The panini were fantastic and I think that's what I'll stick with moving forward. The arancini was just "ok," it wasn't fully warm and I believe it had been microwaved. It was also a bit over-sized, which with arancini isn't necessarily desirable because you want the balance of the fried rice crust on the outside with the soft, cheesy rice interior... The Portuguese Kale soup was good, the broth was a bit watered down and there wasn't very much of the sausage, but it was nice nonetheless. I prefer mine a bit spicier with a richer broth, but it was a good soup. The meatball was definitely microwaved and sadly lackluster - it had a lack of spice and personality, it didn't taste like a meatball so much as a ball of meat. The cannoli were very good, though the filling was a bit heavy on the amaretto, the expected pop of citrus was lost in the background. Again, the panini were both amazing, I look forward to going back and trying some of their...
Read moreI am absolutely obsessed with cibo, and send so many people to this wonderful place. Their hand pressed, to order paninis are bar none. My personal fav is the formaggi and adding their delicious chicken cutlet to it. If sandwiches aren’t your thing you can get many Italian favorites ready to eat right at the counter. The Italian wines are so delightful and well thought out i love to grab something new to try and sit out on their adorable patio. And as if that wasn’t enough their homemade and stuffed in front of your face cannolis are at the bakery counter (i like to order an extra two to eat shamelessly on the car ride home) a nice little espresso or gelato can be found there too.
As if all this wasn’t enough to give cibo 20/5 stars the staff and owners are the kindest humans I’ve ever met and truly treat every person that walks through the door like they are family — they bring an unbelievable warmth back into hospitality that so few establishments can be found having these days.
Also keep an eye out for their wine...
