The Sparrow Store — Local services in Orleans

I am so thankful we ultimately ended on this store being our souvenir-buying destination in Orleans. We met Tim (the owner) and Marie immediately, who are both absolutely delightful. Marie went out of her way to see if a shop down the street had local honey for me because their selection was sold out. As for the shop, it doesn't carry anything kitschy. Every item seems thoughtfully picked out, and so much of it is from local artisans, from jewelry to toys to ornaments to hot sauces. It's also not Cape Cod-branded everything, which is nice. I went in looking for lighthouse things and came out with a classy silver lighthouse pendant, mala jewelry, toffee candies, and a hand-painted bag to throw it all in. The Sparrow store is a small little shop in Orleans that is run by the family who owns the amazing Chocolate Sparrow coffee shop across the street. They offer all kinds of Cape Cod collectibles and trinkets but the thing that makes me come back time and time again is the quality of the tee shirts and hoodies that they sell. They are the SOFTEST cotton making the most comfortable shirts that I have ever worn. They have Cape Cod Rails to Trails long and short sleeved shirts that are perfect for the cyclist! Love them! One of my favorite stops to get an iced mocha, it's a caffeinated treat! This place is so cute inside. During busy season in the summer it is bustling, so be prepared to wait a little, get cramped a little and not be sure where to stand.
