I accompanied my sister awhile back to buy a new bed for the guest room as well as a new mattress for her own bed. She had several constraints about budget and needed delivery on a very specific schedule. Guss assured her that it could be worked out, and it was! My sister was thrilled with her purchases and the excellent service she received. She has commented to me several times since that she loves the new beds and is very happy. I decided to follow suit, a few weeks later, to replace my own worn out mattress and get a new guest bed. Guss was on duty again. He listened carefully to what I wanted, and took time to show me the options. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and did not provide an ounce of pressure. I was able to select the perfect items, taking all the time I needed. My purchases were delivered and installed as promised…“no fuss, no muss, thanks to Mr. Guss!” I also compliment the delivery staff for their professionalism and courtesy. I am not one who really likes to do in-person sales/purchases. With that said, I was going to another location, as they had other mattress' listed that were cheaper... I am SO GLAD they were not open! We walked in, and was treated well, with respect, and asked what I really wanted to get. I was informed of several options, and some basic information (which some I had done online previously, but backed away because of prices). I made a decision on the spot and ordered my Black Opal Cushion right away. There was no other hidden fees or costs whatsoever! That made me even happier! On delivery day, the gentlemen were very kind, curtious, removed the old mattress, placing the new one on, got a signature, and were on their way! I have now had one full night of sleep on my new mattress, and can state that I am so very happy that I made the purchase I did! After figuring up what the 'other place' may have cost me, I actually spent about the same, or less, than buying and having to get it TO my house, and I can not say that that mattress would have been the great Sealy that I purchased at Mattress Mart! My wife and I just bought a new house and needed new beds for us and our son. After checking reviews online we decided to go to Mattress Mart on West Main in Kalamazoo. I was really hoping to deal with Guss but instead I got Larrs, and I have to say Larrs was just as good if not better than anything I read about Guss. Thank you Larrs for making this such a great experience. I never bought a new bed before and was a little anxious since I really don't like dealing with sales reps in general. But you put me at ease as soon as I walked in. You helped us pick out the perfect bed with your knowledge but you were also100% sincere in making sure we got what was best for us without pressuring us to buy anything and made us feel like part of the family with your friendly easygoing nature.
