La Piñata Mexican Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Oshtemo Charter Township

We waited quite some time for our waitress. It was not very busy but I've been a waitress in the past and looks can be deceiving. We waited patiently with our 5 and 2 year old. When the waitress got to us we put in a drink order. 10-12 minutes later the drinks arrived and immediately put in our food order so as not to wait any longer. About 10 minutes later, two tables were seated around us, a 4 top and a 2 top. Food took a very long time to come out (35 min or so). When it started coming out...the waitress served the 4 top. She tried to give the table my husbands food. They declined it and she said to us "oh, is this yours?" Yeah...then it went downhill. She then went and served the 2 top. Then she came back with my entree (which was barely warm). But the biggest no no in the waitstaff world...she did not have my kids meals. You always serve the kids first!! (Well, you always remember your tables order and which table was seated first but...). So we waited for our kids meals to come out and the meals were wrong. We asked for chicken, we got beef. We asked for rice and beans and they put fries. My husband asked for corn tortillas and he got flour. The food was flavorless but we were exhausted and starving after traveling all weekend. Dont care if it was busy (it wasnt), dont care if the kitchen screwed you over....it was poor service. Reminder of my above spoiler: we do not plan...

Honestly I would give zero stars if I could... This place is horrible.I am a taco lover through and this place was disappointing.Let me be clear it was not the customer service, it was the food.The people were great.Now let's begin.I got two tacos and a tostada. The taco shells tatse like it had a hint of syrup or something, like i was eating a pancake, not good.The meat has no seasoning whatsoever and they didn't even have green sauce or red sauce.When I asked for green sauce they bought out the only sauce they apparently had which was warm enchilada sauce.So I basically ate my tacos bland.My tostada shell was soggy and was made with beef, like unseasoned ground beef. Which might be my fault because I was expecting steak. never have I ever had to request that the meat be steak.When they say beef it usually means steak and not ground beef especially on tacos or tostadas. Now to my wife's dish.She ordered a burrito.The burrito was basically the size of an enchilada or chimichanga...so basically it wasn't a burrito.Also Unseasoned. Basically this restaurant is missing flavor, seasonings, and sauces.Never have I experienced the lack there of at a mexican restaurant and I go to a new place all the time.Never have I had a taco with no green or red sauce..We won't be coming back here anytime soon in this life time.The chips and salsa was...

Terrible service! I am a business owner, so I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. But after visiting twice in a week, I can honestly say... the male server is biased and serves who he wants. I mentioned I had a question about the menu and the response was, "Ma'am, I have other customers." In getting angry, I was ready to pay and leave. He comes over and tells me I misunderstood. I didn't want to argue because I was with my daughter. We visited again Friday night... very busy. So slow service was understandable... after waiting 7 minutes for someone to come out to seat us. Another family walked right in behind us waiting too. I am a different nationality. They looked at us and then looked at the other family standing behind us and asked who was next. Everyone knew we were. I remained cool. They seated us and the pregnant woman was kind and awesome. The same server comes out and never even takes our drink order or speaks to us. After sitting for 10 minutes... guess who he has already stopped by their table and asked what they needed. The other family. I'm done and I'm letting everyone I can know. This is not the way you treat PAYING CUSTOMERS. I am fluent in spanish and grew up in Texas so I love Mexican food but will keep supporting Gallo Blanco and Los Brothers. Great service and great...
