When we got there, no came out and greeted us. We were the only customers in the place and still it took a few minutes for them to notice us. One lady looked right at us and kept right on doing what she was doing. Mind you, we were the only customers there. We finally picked our seats and then a waitress came over and took our drink orders. We all ordered water because we don't drink a lot of pop and it was a hot day. She brought our drinks back and disappeared. I had to ask another waitress to get her and that waitress took our order. Our waitress eventually came out after the other waitress was done, too late. I noticed half way through my drink that there was a bug on the bottom of my cup. I thought it was on the outside of my cup, but nope, it was on the inside. Gross! I ordered the flautas (Mexican style) it was supposed to come with guacamole but it came with just an avocado sliced on top. My dinner was so dry that I had such a hard time swallowing it and it had ZERO flavor. The rice and beans were flavorless as well. My son ordered the chicken nuggets, he is 7 years old, and they came out burnt. My daughter ordered the giant enchilada and hers was perfect, nothing wrong. When I was asked if everything was okay, I spoke up and honestly said what was wrong. The young man took mine and my son's dishes back and asked if I wanted something else. I told him that I would take the giant enchilada, the same thing my daughter ate because I tried it. My son's nuggets came back even more burnt than they were the first time and my first bite of my food was great until I bit into something that was so hard, it almost broke my tooth. I spit it back onto my plate because it hurt my tooth. I told them that I was not happy and that I would like the bill. They told me that it was on the house, I tried paying for my daughter's meal because hers was perfect and I felt that I needed to pay for something. I will not be coming back to this place for food. Salsa is slightly blended tomatoes and little else! Food was less than any years! Drab rice (Ide sy at least PRETEND and add some salsa to seem like SOMETHING ws "prepared ", but we already discussed the salsa! The CUP OF ICE, for the first drink was silly, with very little beverage ...but the "refill", was literally out of the top, like a snow cone! That doesnt minimize how often you need to return! it waters down the beverage and adds to the overall fail! And, the customer is STILL thirsty! Unlike many, I won't drink 2 liters of soda in my visit...but, my full ice cup is not the part needing to be topped off! Slow decline over last few years. It's no longer a favored place. Read moreI ordered food online, did not receive food due to their unforseen closing. But was still charged for the food I had ordered, and have not received any form of compensation or refund.
I tried contacting restaurant/owners. They have not or will not respond to give me a simple refund, or even fulfill the order.
This is the only restaurant that I have dealt with, with something like this, that won't even respond or honor the transaction. I have paid for the food, and have been seemingly robbed. I will not support restaurants that cannot provide simple customer services to their customers. Also cannot trust what this restaurant says, on whether or not, they are open or closed.
Edit: I have been contacted by the owner since this post, and they are giving me with a full refund, and apologized for the situation being what it was, great service and hospitality. And it is the reliability of their online ordering site "Clover" to be blamed for these technical issues. Thank you very much...
