Ā Ā Ā Read moreI could rant here for ever and a day. I donāt believe a single person made eye contact w/ me, much less a āhelloā. The 1 cashier was on her phone and couldnāt seem to register I had asked a questionā¦. When I became obnoxious she looks up and says.. Iām not sure. Going back to her phone. *There are things that happen I. Life but⦠come on! Pricing⦠I found MANY items priced above what you can get them for (currently) brand new. I suppose itās possible SOMETHING was priced at a bargain price⦠I couldnāt find it.
I feel like many thrift stores are attempting to $$ items at the $ you might find them on Etsy, Postmark, etc. 1. Just because itās priced at - doesnāt mean itās selling for that $. Almost all of those āresaleā sites allow you to haggle or make offers. Another important thing to note⦠those are people who generally purchased the item, not having it donated to them. But even the items you find there have been cleaned up, minor repairs done, and there is a return policy that states⦠the buy is right as a safe net.
I know itās hard to be 100% sure every item is in working order when you take in donations. BUT!!! If youāre going to ask the $$ point you are⦠thatās not my fault! I thought that a Christian organization would be a bit more humble⦠offer folks that are putting in the grind a little break. NOPE! Wonder where the owners live? What they drive? What clothes their kids wear. Bet itās not in the Hood,a beater, or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am torn between a 3 or 4 star review for this thrift store solely based on their PRICES! I canāt fault their staff (always very friendly and helpful) or the quantity/quality of their second hand goodsā¦.but the prices consistently irk me. I think they price things based on what they think something SHOULD be worth because of its brand name, whether they deem it to be a genuine āantiqueā, etc, and my opinion is they forget at times that these items are USED/SECOND HAND/someone elseās cast aways. I really donāt want to find a used item at a thrift store priced HIGHER than I could find it brand new in the store itās originally from, but I have found several items that I can buy brand new at Target for less than $10 priced at $12.99 at Blessings Abound, or something with the Dollar Store tag of $1 on it priced at $2.99, etc. I have found the pricing to be WILDLY inconsistent as wellāone plate will be $8 (which is already too much for a USED chipped plate but itās āantiqueā soā¦ok) and another one is $25ā¦.why? The staff could only tell me because of the brandā¦SMH All that to say, if you, like me, are looking for THRIFT store prices you need to come on the sale days here and be picky or youāll be over paying for second hand goods. They do have one of the largest (if not THE largest) selection of used furniture and helpful staff to get it in your vehicle for you, which we have...
