Today I finally made it to Nerdstalgia and I'm so glad I did! I came for a $40 copy of Marvel Chillers Giant Sized #1, and left with much more. They have a good selection of new issue comics including independent lines. They also have a large selection of back issues. Action figures, TPB/Graphic Novels, toys, collectible cards, paperbacks and more. Their prices are quite competative, and many soufht-after books wont damage your wallet. This is a wonderful place and the folks who work here are incredibly pleasant and happy to chat. Anyone interested in comics and related collectibles need to come out here and look for themselves. I think you'll be very glad you did.

I saw a post on Facebook in a retro group. Always excited to see a new place pop up. Super awesome little place. Had some great stuff. Lots of comics and handful of old toys and nostalgia! Greeted when we walked in which is awesome! Thank you for that. And when I wanted to look at these two games he was very much like, “open them up check them out.” What a breath of fresh air. Last place I went wouldn’t even let me take them out of the plastic. Being able to inspect the items was awesome. Fair deal. I don’t mind supporting local shops. Definitely going back.

I come at the hobby a little bit differently than most as I am an investor first and a collector second. I have tried to visit all the comic book stores in the area and by far the most friendly and the most knowledgeable is Nerdstalgia.

My trek was to simply see in each store what was already graded and on the wall.

I found a great book, Incredible Hulk 181 and was pleasantly surprised to see that it had a market value that was current . . . instead of an inflated value that was in no way close to fair market value.

This made it easy to negotiate for such a key book within a couple of hundred dollars. As a result, I'm grateful for the work they do to make comic buying a great experience for all of us who love books.

So far, after visiting all the stores from downtown KC to all the stores in Kansas, Nerdstalgia is, IMHO, the best shop in the...

The guys here were extremely helpful and personable. I called before hand because I live about two hours away and they assured they could do a buyout for my Pokemon cards. They went through my collection I was trying to sell (about 200 cards) and offered me a very generous buy out. Ended up trading a few things because they had one of the better selections I had seen also. Driving from two hours away can sometimes be a toss up, even if you call in first, but these guys really delivered and I was able to find a gem in KC. They will definitely get my business on future trips...
