Burger King — Restaurant in Owensboro

Wow. I felt it deserves two stars ONLY because the exterior was clean: free of trash, debris, and graffiti. That was probably the only thing decent about my experience. Other than that, I regret my visit. Ok, here's the details. Pulled up to the drive-thru, no one was ahead of me and no one behind me. There's no rush at this point. The lady came over the intercom saying only "what do you want?" With an attitude of irritation. I only ordered two sandwiches: 1) King CROISSANWICH® With Double Sausage and, 2) King CROISSANWICH® With Sausage & Bacon. She seemed really annoyed when I said I would like the second one to be sausage and bacon. Heaven forbid someone had to make a sandwich. Once I got my food, the double sausage had melted cheese, yet cold. It was probably sitting there for a while. I'm assuming they had a second one sitting there too but I ruined their plans to pawn it off to me when I asked for the second sandwich to be sausage/bacon and they didn't have it stacked on standby. While at the second window, as instructed to go, again- I wasn't greeted or welcomed but rather seen as more of a frustration than a paying customer. They just took the card, no acknowledgement of my presence. Not even sure contact, except briefly when handing out my bag. Driving around the building, I saw maybe 3 vehicles in the parking lot and no one in the lobby. It wasn't busy. To make it worse, the cold double sausage tasted as if it was completely rolled in salt. Too much sodium. I don't blame anyone for that, just something I noticed about the food quality. The second sandwich: bread was 'warm-ish' but none of the other individual ingredients were warm at all. Very disappointed. I don't have any plans to return to this location. Which is sad because every once in awhile all I want is a Texas Whopper. To the owners: I'm sorry your customers are seen as an inconvenience rather than the whole reason you're still in business. Someone needs to have a talk with the GM (or get a new one). I am not a fan of giving low ratings, but I leave honest reviews based on my personal experience. I hope I'm able to return one day and experience something different so I can update my review- hopefully with a better rating. But that probably won't be for a long while. I’ve never seen such drama in a restaurant in my life. Came on 8/24 at 5pm in the afternoon. I guess BK is a half daycare now. Mom was in the back while papaw, daughter, one kid running around with no shoes, 2 other young men, one baby in a carrier, all chaos and in one section of the dining room like they were in their living room! Mom in the back yelling across the restaurant to the others demanding he come up front. Not to mention feeding the whole family with no money changing hands. No professionalism anywhere. So distracting. Papaw pacing, mom yelling, kid running around with black feet from the floors, one of the guys falling asleep on the table, young girl who can’t control her man so runs and gets mom in the back. The food & service were ok but then I went to change my nieces diaper in the women's restroom. First to my amazement there was no where to change her diaper. I've been a restaurant manager for over 30 years & have NEVER been into a restaurant womens restroom without a changing station. Then I look at the floor and it was textured tiles to prevent slipping. It was disgusting. Old deep dirt down in the tile from long term neglect & in the corners of the room from no one caring & management not doing their job. There is a difference between fresh not cleaned yet this shift dirt & old dirt. There was no way I was going to change her on that floor. Then when I brought it to the staff's attention I was blown off.
