The butter burger meat was overly seasoned in almost way too salty to eat. The mashed potatoes and gravy had clearly been microwaved due to the brown stains on the packaging and the burnt taste. The server that I encountered twice never made eye contact, smile or communicated with me and handed me a knife and a fork to eat my mashed potatoes with. I know they had spoons available because later I ordered custards and both of those came with spoons. The cashier had overheard me speaking to the other cashier who asked me how my food was and told me that "everybody does this" (microwaving (REHEATING) the food) and mentioned a number of national chains as an example. I can name a number of national chains that no longer exist due to this practice. I was assuming when Culver's came into the food market that they wanted to stand out for offering a alternative to other practices and as of previous they have done that with me with welcomed results. The floor had food items in a number of different locations and a major ketchup spell which Encompass the floor and the wall in one corner that I observed the number of employees walking by without doing anything about it. I regularly eat at other Culver's Restaurants in the Southeast and this is the first time that I have been to this brand new location, I have never had such a bad encounter in a Culver's Restaurant since I have been eating there. I have over 10 years of product development experience for a worldwide food company and the food items that I developed in the 1980s are being consumed even to this day nationally so I do not consider myself to be an amateur when it comes to rating restaurants. This restaurant is off to a bad start and if this continues it is very clear from reading of the reviews that it's days are numbered. I would strongly suggest that the franchise go visit the restaurant in Panama City Florida and use it as an example maybe even employing the mentorship of...
Read moreThe only reason I am giving 3 stars is because my husband and I like the food, and for the service by one lady on my prior visit. We like Culver’s and were excited to have one finally come to Oxford. Our first few visits were really good, but the last ones not so much. I came one day because I had a coupon for a free cup of custard. Ordered on the app, pulled up at the allotted time and waited almost 15 minutes. I called the store where a woman answered the phone and apologized, explaining that the curbside check-in was not working. She fixed the situation and brought my custard out along with some coupons for a future visit. This past time we were driving home and wanted to grab something. I placed our order on the app, we arrived at the right time, and waited. Almost 25 minutes later my husband went inside to see where our food was. Five minutes later a worker came out with our food (30 minutes at that point). I had to call my husband because he was still inside.. When we finally got home our food was correct, but his corn dog was not done all the way so he didn’t eat it. That wait time was not worth it, and when he told me it was mostly teenagers inside and only one of them taking orders, that explains part of the problem. This location needs more consistent management to work on customer service and wait times (I also work in food service and can understand how overwhelming and...
Read moreThis was our second visit since this location opened. Since it is so new, they stay busy in Oxford, AL. Both times, they had employees in the parking lot assisting their customers, such as directing them on empty spots, stopping the incoming customers so that the ones leaving could back out of the spot, etc. On this visit, the male employee suggested that we back into the spot to make it easier to exit, which is an awesome idea. Also, he gave good directions on the best way to back in and would stop or hold the incoming customers until the one(s) parking was in a spot. After placing our order, we got our drinks and realized that there were no straws. So, I asked a female employee if she was the one who was keeping these types of items stocked. She explained that she was not but asked me how she could help. So, I explained, and she solved that issue immediately. Both dine in, and the drive-thru were really busy. During this visit; I saw employees taking food outside and the same employees delivering food to those inside, as well. We ordered two of the 2pc fish dinners and one chicken sandwich basket. The food was hot, good, and to our table in a reasonable amount of time, based on how busy they were. Culver's is a bit pricey, but that is the norm nowadays. Overall, both of our visits to Oxford Culver's...
