Modern Nails — Local services in Palatka

I only do DIP POWDER on my nails so was GLAD to find a place in Palatka that does it! Dip is more expensive than gel ($35+$7 tip vs $25+$5 tip) but lasts twice as long so it's actually cheaper in the long run. No chemical smell like acrylics and leaves your nail bed healthy & undamaged unlike gel (look it up on Google). I am renovating my home and hard on my hands but still want them to look nice.

A friend and I did a walk-in @ 5PM with a less than 10 minute waiting time. "Rosy" did my friend's nails and "Kai" (a guy) did mine. Both of our manis turned out great. If these are like the dip powder manis I was getting in Virginia, it should last 4 weeks, then I'll return to Modern Nails.

Can't speak for the other services they provide ... pedicures, facials, waxing and lashes.

Update ... This is my "Go To" place and have been back several times. Rosy did my nails once and "Mimi" twice. Last week Mimi did the "French Tips" with the dip, beautiful job that...

I had an appointment. When I arrived they acted like I didn't 4 people working I was the only customer but had to wait. The nail stations are very dirty , unsanitary. Three of the workers kept arguing, including the one working on my nails, so he was not paying any attention or concern for what I was telling him. Then he sent me to the girl that apparently only does pedicures. It was the worst massage pedicure I have had. When she was finished there were walk-ins so now I had to wait to get my nails finished. Finally a different person decided they could finish my nails. There was no wrist rest and again filthy station. My arm had someone else's tips laying next to it. It's not like there isn't any time for them to clean or wipe things down because they have plenty of time to to sit on their cell phones. This is by far the worst nail salon I have...

I went to Modern Nails today for the first time and I was both very surprised and gladened by the professional, knowledgeable and eagerness to make me comfortable in their salon. This small family owned and operated salon is hands down the best nail salon in town. I have not had my nails done or have had a pedicure done because of the other two nail salons ( Super Nails and Skyline Nails)that I have visited near here in Palatka are so rude and disrespectful to their customers that I refused to spend my hard earned money with them and I didn't want to be treated in such a poor manner like the times I've been to the two larger salons. Today I was pleasantly surprised by the low cost and high quality of the work I received.
