Winn-Dixie — Local services in Palatka

Well we got there at 7am bright and early. We shopped. Filled up two carts of groceries and at 8 am we were ready to check out just to find no cashiers. The lady told us there's no cashier until 9 am. And she refused to ring us up. Everyone between 7 and 9 is forced to use self check out. Self check out is not designed to ring up 2 carts of groceries. Its designed for quick check out for people with small amounts of items so they don't have to wait in long lines. These companies need boycotted. They force customers to do the work. Where's our employee discount? We are not employees so why are we forced to work and pay high prices? How are handicapped people supposed to function? Why are people so willing to except this as a norm?these companies just don't care about the local economy. Its a dumb concept. Everyone just needs to boycott the self check out. Or pay the customer a employee discount. They aren't hiring employees. So they aren't contributing to the local economy. Customers are not...

I know that Winn Dixie is a fantastic spot for savings and good deals but that last 3 times Im saying that the fruit and some veggies have been not good, I went on the 7th and I eat and fix my son fruit smoothies and I usually use them in 2-3 days but...they keep being rotten and spoil very quickly, I keep a clean fridge and the same thing for the green beans, and the dates are not old these are fresh supposedly I had 2 boxes of strawberries and only 2 I could use, so next time I hope there not rotten, the blueberries I also got this last time wrinkled the next day, I don't know if this is just me but I check my food before I buy it. Ohhh and raspberries were mushy and green spots on them and didn't look refreshing, I love shopping here but I need the produce...

The Winn - Dixie is fine as far as cleanliness and staff, nothing special but nothing bad to report. This review is about their pharmacy. The people who work in the pharmacy department have an attitude with me every time I come in, when they never have any of my prescriptions done remotely on time, once I came back again the next day and they STILL weren't done. They've messsed up two orders of mine and acted like it was a chore to fix what they did wrong, no apology. I unfortunately am stuck going to them since my doctor in Palatka has an IDP through them so I can't get my scripts for $4 each anywhere else. One of these days, I'm going to tell off the one blonde girl if she's rude to me...
