November 2023: Just a quick shout-out on the value of the TruTech VIP program. We all know technology can be “temperamental” at times - power outages, power surges, service disruptions, cable/wires that come loose, etc. Knowing there is help that’s a phone call, text, or email away helps immensely. A quick phone call connects you with a tech expert, who can examine your system, diagnose the problem/issue, and 90% of the time solve the issue on their own, or walk you through the steps needed to fix the problem. If the tech can’t fix the problem, they contact TruTech advising a service call is needed. TruTech then contacts you IMMEDIATELY, and sets up an appointment - usually within a day. They keep a few appointment slots open for VIP members who need on-site help which allows them to schedule and respond quickly. Not only do VIP members get quick service appointments, we also get a discount on their service charges. No one likes having issues with their system - with TruTech’s VIP program I know the issues will be resolved quickly. So glad I decided to subscribe to the service.
Needed a TV taken down off the wall (painting the room). TruTech Came out when I needed them and removed the TV. Called to get an appointment to get it put back up - no problem. Arrived when they said they would, hung the TV, hooked everything up, and tested the system/remote to ensure everything was working properly. Great service by experts !
Continue to be impressed with Tru Tech. Had a minor glitch in music streaming in one of the rooms. Called Jason, who IMMEDIATELY stopped what he was doing and came to the house. Took him a little while to figure out the issue and make the correction - he wasn’t going to leave before it was fixed. Now working perfectly thanks to Jason’s commitment to ensuring satisfied customers - which I am one!
TruTech just finished installing a new audio/video system is my house and I couldn’t be happier. Great experience from beginning to end. Read moreAugust 24, 2018, took my iPhone 6+ to have my glass screen protector replaced. When the tech looked at it, he discovered that the screen itself was cracked and needed replaced. I approved the repair and in 45 minutes picked up my phone. It looked great and I was happy.
The next day, the phone shut down and I could not get it back on. . After playing around with it for some time, I finally was able to do a hard reboot and get it to come on.
However, I then discovered that the “silence button”on the left side of my phone would not move to turn it on/off. I went back to the store Monday morning and the tech said that replacing the screen could not have caused the problem with the silence button. He took it apart and checked it but the problem was not fixed. He did show me how to turn the silence feature on/off on the screen. He was very professional and kind and I just assumed it was a coincidence and I could live with it as the phone was working otherwise.
Yesterday, 2 days later, the problem with the phone shutting down and not being able to get it to come back on recurred. I could hear my phone ring/vibrate but when I tried to answer it, the screen was black and the phone was shut down. Again, after several tries at hard booting, it came back on.
I am taking the phone back today to see if they can detect the problem. I will update my rating after my visit. I do want to say, that we have had work done at this store previously and were very satisfied so I anticipate the problem will be resolved to our satisfaction.
August 31, 2018 Update on above review* I took my phone in this morning and the screen was replaced. It seems to be working OK at this time however, there were a few days in between the “shutdown” both times it happened so will wait to see what happens in the next week before upgrading to 5 stars. Read moreOutstanding business! They know how to treat customers and stand by their work. Purchased a home that had Control 4 already installed. Needed to have the system switched out to us and Tru-Tech came through. Justin came out spent the entire morning reprogramming the systems and setting up our devices. He ensured we knew how it all worked and spent extra time going through it all with us. We asked for an estimate to mount some TVs when our household items arrived and Justin quickly provided that in an email. A day or so later we had an issue with the Control 4 system and contacted Justin. We received a response first thing and he followed up with a phone call as well. Not to worry, all will be corrected when the techs come to mount the TVs. The day of TV mounting arrives and Justin personally came back to ensure all the Control 4 issues were resolved at no additional charge. The Tech he brought with him, Desmond, did an awesome job hiding the TV wires and mounting the multiple TVs. The entire team was polite, friendly, and professional.
