I love DXL. Jim and Douglas always have time to help me out and get me right. Thank so much for always coming in clutch. Today was a less than desirable experience and this lady the manager was intervening in my transactions with Doug. She was literally trying to nickel and dime me today. To the point where I got all mad. I literally wanted to asked her to stay out of my busine. DXL is not a cheap store. After $300 on a vest, a pair of jeans and work pants, I needed them hemed up. They offer the service, price per item I understand. But this service is offered but you have to pay for the seamstress hours too. So cause it takes her longer to hem jeans as opposed to slacks it cost more there's no set fee and you have to pay for the time. Then it takes a week to get items back cause seamstress is on vacation she's backed up. Don't get me wrong everyone has time off due but with business still demanding, I'm trying to figure out why this is my problem. So I have to pay your employees to hem my clothes that I brought out of your store. The service you offe? Why do you offer a service for charge with additional charges on top. So basically she wanted me to pay $50 to hem a pair of jean pants that cost me $65 cause I had a membership coupon. A member and that's how you treat me. You out of your mind. Come again. I ended up taking my items and will have them hemed for one price not two. She literally provided the worst customer service I've experienced in retail stores in a long time. This is why I stick to one person help and Jim is it! The hem should be free. Ijs shame on you for nickel and diming me. $80 for the pants and $50 for a hem, I took my clothes and bounced. The cleaners will...
Read moreVery disappointed. I would not return or recommend based on this visit. Plus sizes are difficult to find ,& supposedly this is what this store specializes in. They didn't have my size in two different dress shirts I wanted. They didn't have my size in 3 different colors of slacks I wanted. They didn't have the Socks & Hats I was looking for. They offered to order in my size but I'm on vacation from another country so that doesn't work for me. I wound up buying three different items which were second choices for me. I asked about a discount & there were no sales on, no discount of any kind offered for membership or rewards or anything. I spent over $200 & I didn't feel my business was valued at all. We've been shopping at many clothing stores this trip & every other store bent over backwards to satisfy our needs & offer discounts as applicable. Our salesman flat out told us there was no way of reducing any prices, period,& everything was full price as is. I sensed he was repeating the company mantra of not offering anything & we may as well shop elsewhere. In my opinion XXL has a 2nd rate attitude & could use some customer sensitivity training. After all, isn't that why they are in business? They certainly won't be receiving any of my future business or any recommendations I might make to others. Above all they need to review their inventory levels so they actually have the products they are selling in stock. There are very few unique products in today's marketplace, the only difference is customer service & DXL is...
Read moreThe store is really nice just never have what I am looking for. Us big guys needs to have a little star and up to date clothing like ripped jeans not just on the knees I'm talking about. I would like the prices to be a little lower for practically buying things that we really don't want but when we can't find outside and no other store we have to settle for what we can get. And more choices in the sporting clothing section like more teams more colors More design NFL NBA and college sports. When I go to the store with my wife which also is a big girl she goes to a store called Torid and they have all kind of up today for a big girl I can't DXL have the same thing big guy's. I'm not going to make my story any longer just trying to give my idea or better yet wishlist to you guys too put out more fashionable up to date clothing out and be more reasonable in pricing. Yours truly...
