NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN BY BOSCOVS FOR THEFT BY THEIR CONTRACTED DELIVERY PEOPLE!! I visited the store to purchase a bed frame and mattress. Once I made my purchase a delivery date was set. On the date of the delivery a very expensive gold necklace, which was given to me by my late husband, was stolen by one of the delivery men!! I noticed this when I went to wear my necklace which is not an everyday piece of jewelry as it was rather expensive. I called Boscovs to report the theft by their delivery man only to be told that Boscovs does not get involved in thefts by their delivery people and that I should file a police report. I WAS SHOCKED!! I was further advised that if there had been damage to my home they would assist with that but there was no recourse for theft by Boscovs. It's clear to see why their delivery people feel it's okay to steal from Boscovs customers since there will be NO repercussions!! Whether you call the day of or weeks later the answer is the same, NO ACTION TAKEN BY BOSCOVS FOR THEFT, that is their policy!! I will NEVER shop at their store again and I caution anyone who is looking to buy any item that needs to be delivered. Better to be safe, shop somewhere else!! I'm sure the contracted delivery people know that there will be NO repercussions if they steal from Boscovs customers, so why not help yourself to the customer's property!! Stay safe, stay away from Boscovs!!
UPDATE: After I placed my review I received the same automated message that everyone else who did not give them 5 stars had received. Boscovs doesn't even have the decency to actually read the reviews and respond accordingly, they just send out a canned response!! Now that is PATHETIC customer service!! I will guarantee that if you had a balance on their store card you would get a personal call but theft by their delivery people doesn't even warrent a decent, personal response. On June 8 at 4 pm I was browsing for menâs shoe for Fatherâs Day with my infant in hand and pushing the stroller with the other , not once was I approached or asked if I wanted to look at something or to let me know she was available to assist , seeing my hands were already full. You would think , working in a menâs department at the busiest time of year , they were trained to get the sales. Anyways , my husband then meets with us in the menâs shoes dept. and I give him the warning , she doesnât seem to want to help. But my husband gave her the benefit of the doubt. Walked up to her while she was âoccupyingâ herself with shoes , and said âexcuse me missâ THREE times before she answered. He then had a specific request. Can you please find me ANY sketchers size 13 wide . ANYONE knows size 13 shoes are rare. She goes âyou have to pick out a style first â my husband kindly says âany style really , I know how hard it is to have size 13s in stock â and she replies âyou have to pick out the shoe otherwise Iâll be in the back for hours â my husband still calmly explains that size 13 wides are hard to find so if she finds one weâll take it. She rolled her eyes and went to the back. At this point , she CLEARLY either doesnât want to do her job or be bothered. She was not only extremely unprofessional , shes clearly uneducated to be working in menâs shoes. And to top it off sheâs got attitude and blatantly rude. This is a post about the Jr department sales clerk who took it upon herself to negate my price adjustment request today with her poor attitude and empty words. A few weeks ago, I purchased several jr clothing off the clearance rack for $1.99 and noticed the price marked IN RED on the ticket did not reflect on my receipt. 5 pairs of Wallflower overalls all rang up $1.99 except one pair and so, I stopped by the EASTON store to address it with the clerk, GAIL. I explained what happened and the first words out of her mouth were âthese are Wallflowers and they never get reducedâ followed by âthereâs no way to give you a price adjustment without seeing ALL the other wallflower overallsâ, followed by âwhy do you want to see a manager, sheâs going to tell you the same thingâ, followed by âthereâs nothing we can doâ followed by âwe donât ink the price in REDâ blah, blah, blah. In the meantime, the department manager stood by and watched her go on and on and let her treat a GOOD customer in this manner and wouldnât share HER name because she didnât say anything wrong!! Who allows this clerk to treat customers this way? The asst mgr, Michelle, arrived and made the price adjustment but not w/o a few reasons why she couldnât do it and squaring it with the dept mgr first. Unacceptable, GAIL.
