Annie at the Palo Alto location is one of the best customer-service oriented employees I have ever met. Her calm demeanor makes it very easy to talk to her and she is completely willing to help when issues may arise. We recently had an issue with a particular piece of furniture and Annie went above and beyond to help us get the item exchanged in a way that satisfied us. A lot of times you have to fight for what's right, but Annie didn't make it a fight, she was on our side the whole time and dealt with corporate for us in a way that got us the best outcome. It's very rare unfortunately to come by someone in retail that cares so much about customers and takes the time to help in any way possible and do the right thing. She even got us multiple price adjustments when the item we ordered dropped in price before it was delivered! Annie is the only person I'd trust when I shop at Arhaus, she never drives a hard sale and she always looks out for the best interest of the customer and realizes that Arhaus is a premium brand that should be offering the highest level of customer satisfaction. I wish her the best in her career, she is a true gem and Arhaus is lucky to have her! When I asked the sales team for the ETA on the couch they said “some time in early October” and only when I pressed did they tell me that it would be delivered the second week of October at the earliest. Because of their mistake, we are without a couch for a month.
The sales team at this store is incompetent.
The sales associate did not explain that we were buying the sofa version of the modular couch he was showing us. This resulted in our delivery being delayed by three weeks, when the sofa couldn’t fit in our elevator. We currently have nowhere to sit in our living room.
When we went to talk to Lara, instead of apologizing, she told me that I should have known the piece wasn’t modular, since our invoice said “sofa.” As if I would understand the technical meaning of modular and couch. The entire reason for going to the store was so that professionals could help us.
The furniture seems nice, but every sales person we’ve dealt with in this location has been incompetent and/or rude. I would suggest ordering online and not trusting these people to handle...
