1 Star I’ve been a loyal Drybar fan for years, but the Palo Alto location was a major letdown. • I arrived five minutes early for my Saturday blowout and waited 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. • The stylist seemed untrained and unfamiliar with Drybar services—when I asked about an add-on I’ve had before, they applied it incorrectly and skipped the massage completely. • The blowout itself? Disappointing. I had flyaways sticking straight out, and I had to ask them to fix it because they didn’t even notice. The finish was rough and definitely not up to Drybar standards. • Reception was nonexistent—stylists were rotating through the front desk, so no one was actually available to help with bookings or check-ins. • No water offered, no warm welcome, just a completely underwhelming experience from start to finish.
If you’re looking for the real Drybar experience, try Las Gatos or Honolulu—this Palo Alto location simply doesn’t deliver. They need serious work on training, customer service, and upholding the Drybar brand promise. Skip it unless you know and can request a...
Read moreI booked two appointments ahead of time. One for a Tuesday at 9am and one for a Sunday at 3:45pm. I had two photo shoots and booked these to get my hair blowed out. Tuesday I showed up at 9 and after 25 mins they said my stylist had not showed up! And recommended a later appointment which clearly didn’t work for me since I had a photo shoot scheduled. Eventually the manager gave me a 10min quick dry styling, for which I actually paid full for dry styling even though it was just a quick 10min work! For my Sunday appointment, they called at 10am and said that my stylist has cancelled! And they don’t have availability. This was the second time in a week. I asked the manager to call me back and they did not! This was on a Sunday morning and most salons are closed! And they stood me up! They didn’t apologize or try to make up to make this work for me, considering that this happened twice in a week and they take no responsibility, this is beyond...
Read moreThis place is horrible. The first time when I booked the appointment a month ago they called me close to the appointment day and changing the time which resulted my other schedule conflict. The second time when I booked, which was yesterday, they called me the day of, cancelling my appointment without any compensation. They said they only had one stylist and she called in sick. So as a business you have no backup plan if the person calls in sick? Also offers nothing to compensate the customer? They do charge a cancellation fee to customer who cancels last minute but apparently the other way around it is completely ok. I asked to speak with the manager and the reception person said the manager would call me back and they did not call me back. Absolutely disgusted at this salon for unacceptable customer service. How can you cancel appointments all the time without any compensation? Very disappointed and will not return or recommend anyone...
