Property LIES TO COVER UP EVERYTHING IN THERE RESPONSES TO REVIEWS. The proof is in the photos that we have taken. The next step is BBB. Before our arrival, we discovered recent reviews about the cleanliness, roaches and repairs needed to be done. For a peace of mind my fiancé made calls to the resort and they claim they take the reviews serious and resolve each concern. Next regarding a roach infestation. The resort stated the roaches were actually palmetto bugs aka water bugs. She called another time prior to our arrival due to more negative reviews. Again, she was reassured it was taken care of. The first night we saw one roach. Ok, that one was missed, maybe? Then we saw several more throughout the day and at night. I was up at midnight (Tuesday 12-13)spraying because several were seen on the counters, in the cabinets and floor. That was indeed not just one roach missed from a legitimate bug treatment. I assure you no one handled the roach situation by hiring an exterminator, with weekly follow up treatments, prior to our arrival. You couldn’t smell and never once smelled chemicals from a treat, only several tacky roach motels placed everywhere. We also went the extra step by purchasing roach spray and traps as a preventative measure the day following our arrival. We also had to purchase extra cleaning supplies in hopes to keep the food areas roach free. We continued to wipe counters, tables, cooking areas before and after each meal; all food was sealed in a ziplock bag or placed inside the fridge; Which did not work. But wait, there’s more….. The washing machine is severely covered in mold and mildew., or I should say was CAUSE WE CLEANED IT. Front loaders are supposed to be kept open to prevent mold and mildew. The dryer has ruined towels leaving black streaks on them. The dryer hose doesn’t seem to be attached because the closet door and appliances in that closet is covered in lint. We managed to wipe it down though. We ran the washer through a smart clean cycle with detergent to knock out some of the grime, along with 2-3 additional cycles of bleach, detergent, and hot water to try and clean the mold spores. The main patio door is tempered/hurricane glass and detached from the frame leaving a 1-2 inch gap of free space. Luckily my brother in law owns a glass business and myself and my father have worked with him and have knowledge in the trade, so we were able to push it in for now as a temporary fix. The glass can easily fall out shatter on someone if it’s not fixed immediately. The unit was advertised as handicapped accessible. The only handicap access I saw is the amount of room in the unit itself. All 3 bathtubs come to my fiancés thigh and she’s 5’1. My mother, sister, niece, and nephew will arrive Wednesday night. My mother is wheelchair bound. There is no way she has access to take a shower without someone placing her in the bathtub. We are going to make it work but it’s not ok to state handicap accessible when in fact it’s not. After purchasing cleaning products, we had to clean the fridge and the living space. Bathtub stoppers has mold caked on them, same for the shower heads. The cleaners definitely rushed the job. I know the difference between palmetto bugs and German roaches because SC also has palmetto bugs. These are indeed roaches. There should have been an exterminator prior to our arrival. There was also mold/mildew around the AC vents definitely does not help those with breathing issues or allergies. My mother has to use an oxygen tank and hopefully she doesn’t get sick after our stay. In the pantry area there is moisture coming from the ceiling, you can see it’s been going on for a while due to the paint peeling, some moisture stains, and the occasional water on the pantry floor. We’ve had to take extra precautions and steps that interfered with our trip because of this issue. The resort tries to buy your reviews. Pay you to...

Book That Condo is actually a property management company for folks with short term rental properties.
Check in is automated. Responses are within 7 hours. You’re given a code via email for entry. Though we were there at 12:30 and I called twice, the room could not be released “until it was checked by housekeeping”. It is possible I missed my window of opportunity to request early arrival by not responding to an email, so stay on top better than I. However. Steve, our DIL’s host had given her the code 48 hours before. I even went to see if there were housekeeping folks around. Nope. Finally Margaret via the emergency # got the code sent at 4:02. Again, all automated. No flexibility on 4 pm check in or 10 am check out.
This is a Wyndham vacation property and they clearly consider us STR’s as flotsam. We checked our backpacks with them on arrival and departure. Thank heavens for Frances and Jouri there.
Condo has two pools, two easy beach access routes, new elevator banks, Starbucks, gift shop and Sky Bar with nightly entertainment, varying from trivia to karaoke. Lisa at the SkyBar was fantastic. $17 for a glass of Mondavi Sauv Blanc.
Lots to offer in this area - racetracks to arcade; waterparks galore. We visited Shipwreck Island, Swampys Amusement Park, Rainforest Neon Putt Putt and the movie Theatre because it was raining., Also Walmart, Publix, plenty of restaurants. We ate at Pineapple Willys, Runaway Island, Fords, All American Diner, Steamers & ice cream at The Yard.
Ok about the condo 1227 via Book That Condo
Caveat: we’re picky and a bit OCD. Husband did home inspections so he notices things.
The first thing we noticed was that the photos didn’t match what we walked into.
Another caveat: We understand the hardship of property rental. We also realize Hurricane Michael was less than 5 years ago. PBC took a beating.
Based on the photos on AirBNB, looked like the same unit but different paint. The unit was in an elevator bank with the master bedroom exposed to the occasional noise of elevator activity.
It was still a fantastic experience but next time I’ll deal with a person and not a property manager company.
Long story longer, some cosmetic maintenance and cleaning are in order but all were minor.
Newly painted, 2 bathrooms, big beach balcony with 3 tables and six chairs, New vinyl plank flooring, Marching decor & furniture, soft throws. Comfortable master bed. Bunk beds for kids.
Well stocked pots, pans, dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking implements Coffee maker Toaster Electric can opener
Laundry; Washing machine does not agitate but was reported and Jack from BTC called and showed up at 9:40 am on our departure date to investigate.
On beach:, $50 to rent two chairs for one day on beach , can be reserved for stay. Or BYO.
Parasailing & jet ski $100 rental for each. Also banana boat and paddle boarding available.
Nearby; Lots to do for 3-80 years of age. Convenience store within walking distance plus many...

Dear Property Management,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the condition of the property and the customer service I have received since my arrival at the Condo.
My experience thus far has been unacceptable from a customer service standpoint. Upon arrival, I was provided with incorrect access codes for both the door and the garage, causing significant delays and frustration. Furthermore, my attempts to contact your office have resulted in excessive hold times and being directed to voicemail, leaving me feeling ignored and unsupported.
The condition of the property itself is equally concerning. I have observed several issues that are simply unacceptable for a paying guest:
A broken chair on the patio.
A dirty and unsanitary table on the patio.
Washcloths with bugs present on them.
Broken bar stools with ripped seating.
Holes in the walls.
These damages and unsanitary conditions are a clear indication of a lack of proper maintenance and attention to detail. This is a very poor representation of the condo and a highly disappointing experience.
I expect a certain level of cleanliness and functionality when renting a property, and the current state of this condo is far below acceptable standards. I am deeply disappointed with the overall experience and believe that immediate action is required to rectify these...
