This was a solo trip for me and I had a fantastic time.||||Seriously I kinda don't want to tell people about Unit 1705 because it was fantastic and it will be booked up if I let the secret out! ||||The unit was spotless. The master bed was super comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked. All appliances worked as expected, I didn't try the oven though. Bathrooms were generous in size. Starter items were provided, so expect to need a roll of tp and some paper towels.||||THE VIEW. I love the balcony had doors off of the master bedroom and the living room. I could see for miles each way. The balcony is where I spent the majority of my trip. I liked how the sides were fully closed so the neighbors weren't a bother and I could be as comfortable as I desired. Some people want sun but are self conscious and this was ideal! The Gulf is gorgeous and watching the waves roll in, the dolphins play and being high enough that the sounds of frolicking children was pleasant without feeling like they are too close. ||||The military jets flew buy almost daily and one time they were in helicopters. I cracked up because at 17 floors up, they were darn near eye level. I'm pretty sure I made eye contact! For a kid or anyone who likes aeronautics, the fly-by's are awesome.||||TV's were great, plenty of channels to watch. Remotes had working batteries :) Comfy couch and chair. I kinda wished the couch would recline. I watched NCAA basketball and had a great time. Nice setup.||||Deck chair set is the best! It is the recycled plastic material. SUPER HEAVY and sturdy. Loved the high top. Only concern.. if you have kids, move those away from the railing. They are tall and any climbing kid could go right over. 17th floor. They were super comfortable for watching the dolphins and just taking in the beauty at night. I'm a bit afraid of heights and it took me a whole day just to look straight down. I never dared to look directly up!||||I also loved that I never had to check in with anyone. With the current virus, not having contact on the check in or out was a big bonus. In fact, I never spoke with a person from the Condo at all. The counter had sanitizer spray and wipes for me when I got in. Just us the keypad and go, perfect.||||There are some drawbacks, always are. The unit is near the elevator so some nights exuberant folks could be heard through the window, it would have bothered a light sleeper in the second bedroom. Most nights were fine, but if you go during a busy time (think Spring Break) it may be aggravating. Elevator was a little slow sometimes. ||||But.. on the flipside, the unit is near the elevator! Super convenient for loading and unloading. ||||The room also is against a maintenance/laundry room. Which means on that side... no neighbors :) I'm not sure how far that area goes back, but i didn't hear a peep the whole time I was there which was just under 2 weeks. ||||The neighbor above allows small dogs. They came the day before I departed. Plank floors are cool unless the dog has toenails and likes to run back and forth. But, I read somewhere that only owners can bring pets, so there's not much to be done about that. Not loud, just annoying. If I turned on the tv I didn't hear a thing.||||Other than that... I was thoroughly pleased. Well, more than that. It was a great unit in a fairly well kept condominium. Underground parking is a perk. It was a little unnerving at night so I kept my head up, but I was alone and am always on guard. It was nicely kept and amazingly clean. ||||I did not try the pool. I did walk out to the beach and the sand was so nice. Water is great, was reasonably warm for February. The Beach Service started right before I left so I didn't get to use it but did see it all being set up. Looks like a major perk and I will plan for that next time.||||Overall, the owners of 1705 should be very proud. It was wonderfully comfortable and just how I'd hope a condo would be. Room for 3 or 4, I wouldn't put many more in. Super clean, well kept, furnished nicely and so comfortable. At one point I wanted to move in! I spent a lot of time sipping wine on the balcony reading books. THE VIEW! ||||Highly recommend and...

Read moreThe location was wonderful and overall it was a nice place. There's a few things we really liked that I will share. However, there were several reasons we will not be returning. The things we loved were the little grill/bar/store worker! He was so great and really provided great customer service. We love the proximity to Pier Park, the grills and shower areas out by the beach. The pool area was very nice. Check in was so easy and convenient. One of the things we noticed was how strict the rules were. We understand that rules are what keeps the place so nice but we weren't allowed to throw water balls in the pool and the security officer made me take down the umbrella that was covering for my 70 year old mother and 1 year old baby. She said it wasn't allowed. Everyone kept getting in trouble and it the security guard was just looking for reasons to get on to people. We did not return to the pool during our stay after that. It was also ridiculous that we had to walk down the beach to put up our canopy because of the beach rental chairs. I understand people pay for chair rentals but if we pay almost $3000 dollars for a room, thats more than chair rentals. We were made to go down the beach to sit and we had to have shade because we have kids and there was 11 people total in our group so that many chair rentals would have been insanely pricey. We also had to pay $40 for parking per vehicle on top of the price of our condo. I've NEVER had to do that at another resort or hotel. Lastly, our room was very nice. We had everything we needed and it was mostly clean, but the inside of the dishwasher had old food in it, not just small particles but large chunks. The biggest thing was that we found what looked to be dried blood (As a nurse, I'm very familar with what dried blood looks like) on the walls in a couple spots and on the sheets on one of the beds, I included pictures. That was the biggest thing, I spent the entire first day of our vacation washing all the linens from our beds because I was nervous they weren't clean. To top off our experience, which obviously wasn't the facilities fault, my husbands grandmother passed while we were on vacation and we had to leave early. When I inquired about possibly getting a credit or refund for the days we had already paid for, it was a quick "no refund will be issued". I understand that when you make exceptions for one, you have to with others but I felt like it wasn't even taken under consideration. There were a lot of great things about Sunrise, but the bad outweighed the good. We come to PCB every year, sometimes twice. We usually stay at Boardwalk or similar and decided to try somewhere new closer to Pier Park. Unfortunately, we just didn't feel our experience or expectations were satisfied like previous years stays at other places. The main reasons for 3/5 âď¸ was the strictness of the security guard rules and the cleanliness of the unit and inability to be on the beach in front...
