Homemade Ice Cream Shoppe — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

I've been coming here for 15 years. It is the first place I go when I get to Panama City Beach. I recommend this place to every single person that I run into whether I know them or they're a stranger. This ice cream shop has been there for like 50 years. The current owner has had it for about 30 years. And then there's a sweet little worker, I cannot remember her name but she'll know who I am when I say we always order the blueberry and strawberry cheesecake! This ice cream is delicious, homemade daily! Don't go to any other ice cream shop in Panama City Beach I'm dead serious. In the summer though they're open 1 to 10 and sometimes there's a line out the door. Keep in mind they are cash only. They do have an ATM inside but if you want to bring your own cash just do that. This ice cream shop literally changed the way I view ice cream forever. It is certainly homemade, and tastes delicious. It’s fresh, light, and refreshing, especially in the Florida heat. It is in walking distance of the beach as well as most hotels on the popular strip. They do allow for you to have samples of the different flavors they have if you would like. You can expect to spend about $6 for a small cup or ice cream cone and $15 for the most expensive menu item/size. They also have pretty T-shirts available for sale if you’re into buying those kind of souvenirs. Keep in mind you can only purchase ice cream and other items here with cash only. Staff is friendly, greeting and smiling. The waffle cone is good. I went there to support local business as it had good review in the past. In my opinion, the ice cream itself is not as good as I expected. I was hoping that it would be like chewy, creamy and more intense flavor…. but it’s not. Its Just like the other comments said its more like” icy”, “ice milk”. If you like that style of ice cream then go for it. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor is ok. But the blueberry cheese cake flavor is not that impressive to me, i can’t taste the blueberry in it.
