My unit and host were FANTASTIC, the facilities were FABULOUS. Everything about my trip was great EXCEPT the STAFF. On Wednesday of our stay upon returning from shopping at 11:30 am, I was parking in the parking garage. The security guard on staff at the time stood with arms crossed at the front of the parking spot. When we got out of the vehicle, He said “What’s wrong? Don’t worry you’re not getting towed today.” I responded laughing, “Oh I’m not worried we don’t break the rules”. He sharply with, “Well I’m just letting you know” It made us all very uncomfortable. In conjunction with that, he stared at us every time there was an encounter on property. It made us uncomfortable to the point that I would not let my girls on property alone. Then Friday afternoon when returning home, we had another altercation. I have teenagers and have been teaching them to be safe with their belongings all week. In particular their money, to keep in in your front pocket and not in the back pocket or their purse. It is a tourist town and travelers can get taken advantage of. Ironically on the elevator ride this Friday, a staff member had a business size envelope sticking ¾ out of his pocket standing in front of us in the elevator. He got on the elevator at P2 with my daughters, Alicia, myself, and a younger boy. The younger boy got off at the pool level. After that, Alicia was joking with the girls about this staff member’s envelope hanging out of his pocket. She was joking about how easy it was to take it and that what we were trying to tell them about taking care of your belongings. The staff member got off on 12 and we proceeded to the room. About an hour later, that same staff member and the same security guard knocked on the door. Alicia answered the door. Both the security guard and the staff member were mean and confrontational, causing her to react they were yelling at her and even called her stupid. We still do not know why, other than they told us a child reported her for stealing that envelope. (None of the playing around happened until after the boy got off the elevator)…they were yelling at us to the point that I am not even sure why they were there. Apparently there was money in the envelope, so I asked if his money was stolen he said no. I asked why they were they, the security guard replayed because we are not allowed to act stupid with someone’s money. I explained to him we are aware there are cameras in the elevator and nothing was taken and that I was sorry they misconstrued the situation. I asked again why they were there and he said my apology was enough and they left. Even if there was an issue, why the security guard brought the staff member with him is not a good practice nor safe. However, I want to return in the Spring, but...
Read moreWe stayed in unit 703.The parking was easy and they provided several luggage carts. There are 4 elevators but it still took a while to get where you wanted to go. The resort is perfectly located so you can easily walk to gift shops, convenient stores, and restaurants. The condo was spacious except for the very small room with twin beds as you walk in. It is a very tight space but it worked well with my 3 young kids. The view was really great. It was nice having 2 pools with one being heated and a splash pad and 2 spas. Beach access was nice and provides an area to place your shoes but we didn't use it. There were definitely some cons to this condo. First, the resort itself does have security and they actually do their job. If you go to the pool, you better have your pool bracelet because they come out and check like every 30 minutes. Also if you smoke, you have designated smoking areas. Second, the really small room with the twin beds, the mattresses are awful and need to be replaced. They are torn with stuffing coming out and are super flat. The bedroom somewhat across from the small room is nice in size but the mattress is very loud and the door does squeak. Also do not expect to sleep well if you are a light sleeper because that room is directly at roadside so the traffic is super loud and I swear it was like they came and emptied trash every few hours and its so loud, it would wake us every time and the light outside the window for the walkway makes it a tad bright in the room at night but wasn't that big deal for us. The bathroom in the hallway area is decent but beside the toliet on the vanity, it's completely peeling and falling away. The kitchen cabinets have peeling of paint and the dish washer was really nasty. The living room area was nice but there are tears in the furniture. Master bedroom was also roomy and had a lot of storage areas but some of the drawers for the dressers were broke and hard to open and the balcony was really hard to open and we only actually were able to open it just enough to walk out to the balcony. There is some water damage in the master above vanity and at the air vent. The tub has piece that kept falling off and it took forever to drain. Tv in master is broken. The LEDS are completely shot so you can only see lines and a white blob on the screen. The floors were nasty, bottoms of our feet were black after walking barefoot for 5 minutes. It can also be a little loud in the condo as it's only 2 floors above the pool area.. For the price we paid, I expected way better than we received. Won't be back...

The leak, which soaked clothes and stunk, in Sunrise Beach 909 started the first night on June 21. April Scott and Tyler have been the only ones to be helpful during our chaos. Between Saturday, June 22, and Tuesday, June 25, were 15 calls on my phone to Wyndham about the leak in the utility room and the bedroom closet. I went to the office on Level 5 and reported the problem to the three people who were behind the counter. On Monday, June 24, about 5:30 pm, Tyler and April came to the room and looked at the problem. Tyler called back about 5:30 pm and told me a plumber would be there on June 25, the last day of our stay. The sheet rock between the washer and dryer had previously been cut out to gain access to the pipe. Their idea of a fix was to put black tape on the drain pipe from the room above us and place a cup to catch the water, but it would have taken a five gallon bucket or 55 gallon barrel to catch all the water. Obviously, Wyndham assigned us to a room known for water leaking without any concern for the health of my family and the two babies. A major concern of ours is exposure to mold and mildew to those staying in the room and especially to children 2 years old and 4 years old. Because of fear of electrocution from standing in water to operate washer and dryer, a friend died from this same situation, clothes had to be taken to my other rented room to wash and dry towels and clothes. We had to cut off breakers. We received no offer to assign us to another room or refund our $2,300. Finally, on our last day, 4 men came and looked at the hole in the wall and left after saying they had seen all they needed to see, two men came later, and one said he “fixed a leak and put black tape on the pipe about a year ago”, then another man came to unstop the commode ???, he also left and soon water started to flood the room again. Later 4 men arrived and started cutting the sheet rock about 5 inches from the floors Pictures are available if needed to verify this fiasco. On our last day I was told that I would receive a small partial refund, but if is like the chaos of the previous 5 days, I will have to see it...
