Yes this is long but I thought it would be good to really show a legit honest detailed review
The 2 stars are simply because of their big variety of dresses and how they kept the colors together and then slowly went up in sizes. I really liked the organization and how it was easy to find a dress, especially if you’re looking for a particular color.
Now you’re probably wondering why it’s missing 3 stars… let’s just say I could careless how clean or organized it is, what stands out to me the most is how the service is…
I came in with my best friend one day, her and I were both looking for our senior prom dresses. It was a big moment bc it was our last time doing this kind of dress shopping and is something we will always remember (Keep in mind me and my bsf are completely different sizes. She’s like size 00’s and I’m around a size 16-20)
When we walked in we were visited by sweet girls. One had us write down our names, school, email and desired price range on a card. The girl talked to both of us and asked what sizes we were and what colors we were going for. I was very happy and had my hopes up because what I was mostly nervous about before arriving was being taken care of by judgey people especially in a time where girls treat other girls that are more skinny/slimmer with more kindness and are more judgmental to bigger girls, so I was thrilled when she was very sweet to both of us UNTIL we started trying on dresses.
I was placed in the fitting room next to my friend and you can hear everything while in the rooms. The whole time she was constantly getting dresses dropped off on the hook out side her room for her to try on and was always getting checked on, while I was barely brought anything and had to wait time to time in a dress till I was brought something else even tho she wanted specific colors and I was open to try anything
I didn’t try to think much about it and tried on my few dresses I had in there with me. My friend and I would step outside our fitting rooms at the same time and show each other what we had on. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. we would step out they would gasp at her dress and immediately come up to her, complimenting her on how amazing she looked while I just stood there. I will admit she is absolutely gorgeous but after a little bit this really started to defeat me. They would always look at my dress but never said anything to me unless they had an opinion on how to fix it, where to alter it, and to just make it look better. This happened over 5 times until I decided to stop coming out with her. My friend saw I wasn’t feeling it anymore and that I was no longer getting any dresses brought to me, while they were still bringing her loads of dresses to try on. She stopped trying them on and went around looking for some dresses for me but someone stopped her and said she couldn’t because she was in a gown still, so she was only able to get me 2 dresses to try on. I ended up falling in love with pink ruffled corset dress she had seen and I debated on getting it. We both came out with a dress in hand to buy and we went to the girl that had been taking care of us (well mostly her).
We stood there and she talked to my friend the whole time, barely batting an eye at my or caring to fill me in too about about the price and the type of payments they took. So again, I just stood there and didn’t feel apart of anything. The girl took her dress and put my friends card with her name on it and told her she’d hold onto it while she went to go get cash/payment from the atm. She saw that I had a dress I wanted as well but instead of taking care of mine like she did my friend, she then walked off with just her dress. I felt like I looked stupid so I just put my dress on a rack and went out the door.
It was my first time ever going to a prom dress store and I didn’t want to go to another one again after that. When I went out to my car I was on the verge of crying bc I definitely got that mean girl treatment in a time that was supposed to be a big moment and something fun....
Read moreI read the reviews on this store and ignored them and went there anyways today. Let me just tell you what a MISTAKE I made. Wedding shopping is suppose to be fun, and your suppose to have a great time, boy did this place just make that wedding disaster story feel like a reality for me. I went there today looking for a wedding dress for my upcoming wedding, like a lot of people I don't have family real close so I take my kids everywhere with me no much of a choice. My kids are very well behaved and very friendly they are 1 and 2 so they have to be in a buggy or a stroller. I first went into the consignment side of the store just too look around and see if I could find some bridesmaid dresses. After looking around I went to wander over to the wedding dress store (separate store i'm assuming now but are connected to walk right through.) As soon as I got to the door way this lady comes at me telling me I'm not allowed to have a buggy in her store, I'll rip her dresses. Just very rude and unprofessional about it, I understand not wanting a buggy in her store but she could have said it in a nicer way. So I just looked at her and said that's fine I will spend my money elsewhere. And turned around to go back out. She then followed me through the store yelling at me telling me that she can't help i'm not happy with her service, that she never said my kids weren't allowed there (which I never stated anything about my kids not being allowed there), continuously all the way out the door she just kept on. I mean this lady just wouldn't stop to save her life (just simply made a fool of herself in front of everybody) I finally had enough on my way turned around and said, It's not very customer service friendly to yell at your customers all the way through the store. And she just stopped and looked shocked. I mean seriously lady I hope you read this and know your running this business (or yours i don't know) into the ground you should be fired (or shut your doors)!!! No one should ever be disrespected like that in a business, and I really do hope no one else has to go through this with her. I can promise you I will never step foot back in this...
Read moreTwo years ago I walked into Dream Gowns and purchased my first gown. From the moment I stepped through their door I was pleasantly greeted and treated with respect. Since it was my first time purchasing a gown, I wasn't exactly sure what I was looking for or what would compliment my body type. They were so patient with me and pulled every possible gown I saw. They never made me feel like I was a bother or a novice. Their suggestions of gowns also allowed me to see what did compliment my body type. Since that first gown, I have been back to purchase nine more gowns/cocktail dresses from them. That should tell anyone reading this that I wouldn't trust others for my wardrobe. Their accessories are also something to keep in mind when shopping, I have never not been able to find the perfect earrings, etc., to go with my outfits, whether it be a ball gown or cocktail dress. I am a state title holder and my appearance at events are most important since I am a public figure. I want to thank Dream Gowns for always making me feel at home, always being patient, knowledgeable, professional, and for always having the most updated array of choices.... It's better than a...
