Our server was also the bartender and running her feet off Sat - lunch. A cook and a managerish man in the kitchen were only ones visible. The manager saw the server overwhelmed and went farther back, leaving her to teach the obviously new cook and to serve everyone. The new cook did a terrible job with our requested "medium" burgers, burning those badly. He put just raw onion, insead of cooked ones, on the mushroom swiss onion burgers. He took a very long time to fix these, even after everyone else's orders were plated and served. He did not get the onion rings for one of the two burgers, which are just Sysco typical fare and not a nicely beer battered bar style expected in a bar. The mushrooms on the burgers were canned, not fresh. When you see the server turning on the food warmer on your food and explain how to read tickets to the cook, you really wonder when the manager is going to come out and do some managing, you know - work. Sad to say the other reviews must have been when this place...

From the moment we walked in this place we were profiled by the very rude and inattentive bar tender. SORRY YOU WERE HAVING A BAD DAY BOO...SURE HOPE IT GETS BETTER - perhaps you would be better suited as a bartender in the PHOENIX where you can relate to folks better!! When we asked if we were allowed to smoke inside of the establishment, he said "yes you can smoke cigarettes but not weed." How is that a proper way to welcome GUESTS AND THE SOLE REASON YOU HAVE A JOB!! We were profiled because we're black.. we were the only black people in the place. We each dropped $80 in two separate machines, and we're told we couldn't even get one free drink. DO NOT patronize this establishment if you are a person of color!! So much for date night and trying something new we will NEVER come back here again. As a local, I've never been treated so...

THIS IS A MUST GO PLACE!!! Or, if you can't stay, the food is just as GREAT 2 go. Weather you're eating there or at home, be prepared, you are more than likely to have leftovers. Blue Ox has a great atmosphere and is the perfect place to watch some football, hockey, etc, with friends, or even make some new ones! The chicken fingers are to die for!!! There are 5 strips of chicken, that add up to 2lbs of meat! The fish and chips are cooked the same way! It appears that there's NOT 1 INCH OF FAT on the fingers and the batter is PERFECT! NOT TOO MUCH/LITTLE! The bartender/waiter named Jamie, has such a wonderful personality! He makes you feel like you're family! The whole staff really, are the same way.
