United Club — Local services in Paradise

The club was functional and gave me a good spot to regroup before my flight — but it was overcrowded at peak time. The space felt a little tight, and I noticed the kitchen smells drifting out into the seating areas.

🌲 Service & Staff This was where the lounge shined: The staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient. They helped quickly with check-in, drinks, and keeping tables cleared. The people working here made the experience worthwhile.

🏞️ My Experience For me, it was a mixed bag: It wasn’t the most relaxing lounge because of crowding and food odors.

But the service really balanced it out — I felt well looked after.

Since I only needed a place to recharge, and grab a snack, it served its purpose.

It’s pretty sad what what you get for your loyalty with American carriers, particularly one of the largest ones like United. Having the explorer card would in the past at least afford you lounge passes. Today I was told I could not enter the lounge despite having a pass because I was not flying united on this flight. It’s not like you get a more luxurious experience, you don’t have good food in the united lounges, showers, loungers, etc.You get attitude, whether in the air or in the lounge. Terrible “snacks.” Just as the business class and first in the air or the lounge in the concourse when you compare to international carriers the likes of Singapore, Emirates, Turkish, the experience is night and day. Comparing it to what you get in the US is like a clean concourse toilet. But today, the toilet wasn’t even cleaned. I’ll be canceling my explorer card and discontinue any loyalty with united...

It was my first time heading to a United Club lounge, and I wasn't sure what I should be expecting. At first, the place is relatively busy with limited seating. The bar was filled with people, so I just grabbed a glass for pop drinks. I was hoping to get some snack to bite on, but nothing was appetizing enough for me to take at all. I was there for slightly over an hour, so by the time I was about to board, the lounge also emptied out a bit.

One thing I liked about the place is that there was an outlet almost everywhere so I could charge my devices no matter where I sat. As it became less busy, I grabbed a glass of white wine for drinking. It would be nice if the place provided some small snacks like cheese and ham. I could only see some almost emptied main dishes and dessert and salad bar - Something simple and easier snacks...
