My girlfriend and I ventured in to take a peek at rings she might like while we were shopping in the mall. I had heard about Blue Nile on various podcasts that I listen to and wasn’t aware there was a brick and mortar location. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and promptly by Asha. We shared our reason for visiting and she let us know that we were in the right place. What followed turned the ring shopping experience on its head! I don’t think I ever want to shop anywhere else if they can’t meet the gold standard that Asha set today. She started with a brief overview of the ring designing process and then took us by hand through every wonderful step of creating my fiancé to be’s dream ring. We felt like royalty with what I can only describe as a premium concierge experience. We received a crash course in diamond coloring and clarity, how to properly size a ring, and the best way to try it on. Asha handled us with sincerity and love. I felt that she truly wanted to help us create the perfect ring that would mark the beginning of the rest of my life with the woman I love. Read moreBlue Nile used to have such great customer service but it's gone downhill. I was gifted a tennis bracelet from BN and the clasp was very loose so it kept falling off. I took the bracelet into the store this summer where an associate immediately took the bracelet from me without saying a word and started wrapping it up, handing me paperwork to fill out without giving me any information about where it was going, how long it would take, etc. I had to ask for every detail. Finally I was told it would be back in store after 6 weeks and would get a call when it was ready. I never got the call, so I started contacting the store who kept telling me they didn't have it. Finally I contacted BN HQ who told me it had been sitting in the Paramus store for weeks. Finally I went into the store, got the bracelet only to find out it had never been touched; the clasp was still equally as loose. Then I was threatened that if I took the bracelet to a different jeweler, I would never be able to take it back to BN to be 'fixed.' Very disappointing considering the business we've given the store. While some companies even made making the appointment difficult. It took me less than15 minutes. In less than 5 minutes, they responded and had an actual person reach out to me to get an idea of what kind of ring I am looking for when I visit in person.
Flash forward to the appointment, Dishi our personal jeweler was efficient, PATIENT, kind, and so so funny. I was pretty much a lost puppy walking into the store but Dishi took her time from the first step all the way to the last. I'm sure the consultation should have took 30 minutes but it was past the hour an Dishi still let us take our time to decide the perfect ring. I look forward to trying it on in 1 month.
