Helzberg Diamonds — Local services in Paramus

THEY ARE THE WORST! I bought a pair of diamond stud earrings 2 years ago and they eventually convinced me to "upgrade the backs" to a screw on type of backing. I hated them because they were a pain in the neck to take on and off. I ended up not wearing the earrings often because the backs were so difficult to get on and off. Recently, they convinced me to change the backing to something "easier". Again, I paid $400 to change the backs on the earrings and after a week, was told they were ready for pick up. These backs are even MORE DIFFICULT to use then the previous ones. You literally can't get the back on or off without some measure of force!!! When I complained this wasn't what I wanted they insisted "they are more secure". My customer satisfaction is based on 1 SINGLE ELEMENT which is ease of use. I didn't ask for more secure. They are one of the greediest retailers around. They didn't care what I wanted, --- all they wanted was for me to spend more money. Even when they saw what a struggle these idiot backs are, they just kept saying "they are so secure". Not my objective---- I wanted simplicity and the ability to wear the earrings easily. I can't wear the earrings again now as the new backs only made things WORSE. Complete waste of money. NEVER DOING BUSINESS with these folks again. I'm tired of their constant upselling and greedy practices. They don't care about customers or what you want......only how...

AVOID ALL HELZBERG STORES!! Had a horrible experience we ordered an engagement ring with them and participated in the "Trade Up Program" they took our old ring and made us pay in full for the ring they were not able produce as promised. Now we are out $4,700 + our old ring. We asked for a return/full refund within the 30 days since we never accepted or took home the rings being that they were not produced as promised, it was only then that we were told the transaction was FINAL SALE. The receipt does not have final sale printed on it anywhere. It also did not say Final Sale on any of the ads around the store and on the website. You know a business is shady when they won't even return a product you never even took home. In the photo you can see the sides of the ring are wrinkled and not smooth as they did a shotty job trying to close in the top of the ring which they promised would not show from the top of the ring. FYI they're not able to do custom rings they're only limited to the stock of ring bands and heads they currently have. Helzberg is not a reputable company they are individually operated/owned like car dealerships some locations are under LLCs. BUYER BEWARE!!! Don't get scammed...

My fiancé and I absolutely love the customer service and the individual attention we get here at Helzberg. I want to specifically highlight the attention to the manager Nash and Associate Elaine. That have been nothing short of spectacular in taking care of us and making sure every little detail was taken care of.

I remember when we first came in the store to get a wedding ring and Elaine was so patient and kind with us having us try on different rings and giving us so many different options and telling us so many interesting stories. Nash was so good as well confirming your us how good Elaine was. Nonetheless, we found the e perfect ring eventually. My fiancé loved it.

There were times we came back in the store for other reasons and we were treated like royalty. With Elaine always being helpful and Nash today going above and beyond his duties to even help me with my watch that didn’t fit, I know they are the perfect jewelers, and I know when you come in, you will find them extremely helpful.
