The review is only for this particular store, Paramus , not for Neiman Marcus stores or online shopping experience. I have been a loyal customer at Neiman for probably 13-15 years now, ever since I had kids and started doing my shopping online because of lack of time. This store has been always amazing at taking my online Returns back, receipts/ order numbers intact, always in timely fashion. Last two times or so I had the same employee take my returns. When there is good sale, I order many things, and I am a working mother of two, I have no time to go to stores and Do the shopping old fashioned way. I brought back what did not fit, it’s a part of online shopping experience. I had all receipts and order numbers. The associate was fumbling with receipts, I had a lot of items to return (12-15 or so) with 4 different order numbers. It would take her about 2-3 minutes per item. I was starting to run out of time, as I’m on strict schedule with my kids and carved this time out between pickup and drop off. I offered to give her order number for each order and already arranged items separately for each order, I have done it before, never an issue, always fast returns. She said she had to check on each item separately. A nice other associate offered to take more items for return at other register. I went with her to the other register. She entered the order number and proceeded to inform me that I had to contact customer service for this return, she doesn’t know why, perhaps I already returned the items I was planning to return! ( really?! Are you accusing me of lying there?!!).. I took all the items which were Not yet returned, and had to leave the store after being there for about 20+ minutes and they were not busy at all ( after barely carving out the time to make these returns in my busy schedule). On my way back I called NM customer service who had NO CLUE why the store suggested I had to call customer service and why they would not take items back with all receipts intact within one week of receipt of items via FedEx. The lady on the phone sent me free FedEx label for all the returns, and was super sweet! Paramus store manager, train your employees how to take online returns back, it should not take 30 minutes, even if it’s 12-15 items!!! Read moreI’ve been shopping at Neiman Marcus department stores since I’m 17 years old. They’re in fact my go to department store in Suburban areas. And I’ve always been especially fond of this location particularly; until, as of late (June, 2025). I’ve been specifically utilizing this location since December, 2024 for Fashionphile drop-offs because it is closest to me. And although it hasn’t ever gone 100% smoothly; especially with one customer service representative that literally vocalizes each time I’ve dropped off with them in person that “They’ve never done this before,” despite having done it before. Each drop-off has been successful. However, this month I dropped off two separate drop-offs totaling of over $5k in items that no longer suit me in life and I’ve been awaiting them to be delivered to Fashionphile for the past 15 days as of today. Collectively, they’ve been “In transit” all this time. Mind you, they were each dropped off on separate dates, but it was alleged by a Fashionphile customer service representative that “Both drop-offs” would be arriving at their facility by the same date (Monday June, 16th). Unfortunately, there’s been no activity, nor updates from Fashionphile. Aside from them pointing the finger and overall blame at both Neiman Marcus and FedEx (their shipping company). I’ve been casually selling with Fashionphile since discovering them in 2024 and each transaction has been seamless. Previously utilizing the Neiman Marcus in Garden City, NY because at the time it was the closest to me. But never did I ever encounter such overall problems and overall unprofessionalism from both parties collectively and each pointing the blame at each other, etc. I can’t even imagine what a soap opera this would be if FedEx started to chime in as well! Needless to say; I most likely will no longer be giving Fashionphile my business after this saga is over and done with. And I most definitely will not be going through this Neiman Marcus to facilitate as the middleman in the process if and when I ever do decide to sell with them again. Read moreI am only giving this place one star because when I went to the store, to make a purchase, the associate was very pleasant and did in fact try to help me. It all went downhill from there as the items I purchased had to be shipped from another store because it was no longer available in Paramus. Firstly, my shoes NEVER arrived. I signature request was made and the shoes appeared deliver although no one ever signed for this. At first I thought the shoes may have arrived at the store since I spoke with an associate who told me that sometimes this occurs. The associate told me they would call me back after they checked. They never called back, days went by and I decided to check with my leasing office and of course no shoes. The Paramus store gave me the worst run around ever! Not only did they have me call OTHER locations were the shoe was shipped from but they also suggested I call Fedex to see what had occurred. I patiently waited about TWO weeks for someone to give me a CLEAR answer as they assured me it might have been an error on their end. After speaking with managers weeks later, they finally ask me if I want the shoes to be re-sent to me, REALLY, at this point? NO THANK YOU! I decided I would go to another department store with better customer service while everyone at this place was NOT doing their job. I was eventually told I would receive a refund and guess what, again I waited over a week for someone to actually initiate the process. I had to call back again and see what exactly was going on. I am not sure where the gap in communication, shipping, and everything is between is but it is EVIDENT that it is there as others have reviewed this store and share the same experience. I would definitely never go back or recommend, I would almost advise folks to be weary of any purchases made here because of the lack of transparency and communication. I still have no idea of what happened to my shoes and I am still waiting on a refund... (purchase was made in early Sept, it is now October)
