Brookshire's — Local services in Paris

I've always enjoyed shopping at this local brookshires but the last 2 times were not pleasant at all. Before anyone comes for me, please know I've always given great kudos to upper management and corporate. These past 2 encounters were negative because of how this new manager ( not sure if he's new or not) treated me and several other customers. We all love a good sale, however, none of the information regarding the sales indicated the quantity for this particular item. I get to the register and the manager yanked my items right out my hand and told me I could only get 2. I decided to leave them all there. I told him there was no signage that indicated quantity. I really never wanted to go back in that store but we're pretty limited on places to shop. The next time was fairly ok since I made my purchase through the pickup option. I'm a sucker for fish so I decided to go in to the hot food section to grab a few pieces. I really didn't want to but again, we limited on things in this town. As I'm entering the store, I saw this same manager talking very rude to several customers. To say the least, that was a major no no. Usually, I would go directly to higher ups with concerns but he's the head person for this store. I enjoy brookshires but the way this managers treats customers...

Not a good representation of brookshires. Store looks clean and neat, but go in the back toward the dairy and meat section, and it smells of rotten meat. The 5 gallon water jugs are parked right near the back door where employees come in and out of. If you’re lucky, they’ll spot you before the door gets kicked into you. Plus the bakery rack is right in front of the water. You have to look carefully and physically move the rack to get to the water. Not many cashiers out so there’s usually a line, and they don’t have self checkout. Some of the cashiers have the personality of a corpse, so don’t expect much out of them. I will say, the carry outs are very friendly and helpful, so an A+ there. Customer service folks are not friendly and act as if the customer is bothering them. Bakery staff is very friendly and helpful. Another A+. Store prices are a bit higher than others. Over all this store can do better. The brookshires in Bonham is an excellent example of customer service, store layout, and cleanliness. Cashiers are friendly, and they wait out in front of registers when not busy. Which is awesome!! 2 stars because two of the male employees were very friendly! I did a pickup order a week ago and Danelle that brought out my groceries was very rude. No hi how are you or even a smile. The strawberries I ordered were full of mold, which means she failed to even check them before grabbing them! I went inside today to get my own groceries and the cashier, Amanda M gave me nasty looks the whole time she was checking out my groceries with no hi how are you or a smile either. The old man that put my groceries in my cart walked off before they were all out in my cart so I was left to put the rest in myself while holding my newborn in her car seat. No one offered to help until I was leaving the store. A young man offered to push out my cart for me and loaded my groceries into my trunk. I wish I would have got his name because him and an older man with a hairnet that was working near the back of the store were the only nice thing about this store.I had a much, much better experience at the Bonham location!
