Kroger — Local services in Paris

I have shopped at this store almost exclusively for the past 18 years. Overall, it is usually a good experience. However, due to the length of time I have shopped there, I have had some bad experiences as well. I did not give 5 stars because many times when there has been a sale on something, Kroger is very slow to re-stock those items. Also, many new items seen advertised on television or in manufacturer's coupons are never available at this store. Many popular items seem to be in short supply. My other major complaint is that during peak days and/or hours, not enough staff has been scheduled to work. Too few employees has become a real problem since the installation of the self-serve registers. I am sorry so many have lost their jobs. Not a fan of the self-serve registers. When in Kroger, I usually buy many items and it is too difficult to check myself out, so the wait in line begins. The kroger in Paris texas is the worst kroger i ve ever shopped in!!!! Management doesn t care, this last weekend 01/25/2020, went to shop and there were no carts. And not one employee was attempting to remedy the situation. Then when i entered the store the smell caught me off guard, they ve got more issues with their sewage than i can assess. Did i mention the roaches?🤮🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢😱😱😱 Yeah, roaches...in a grocery store; and don t forget, they hitch rides home with you. Awful experience. The older lady in the bakery was friendly and the manager was kind in passing. That is where the buck stops. All other employees not friendly. No produce bags available. I specifically went early this morning (before 8am on Saturday), to avoid the crowd. Living in the country I shop in bulk every few months to avoid constant trips to the store. I had A LOT of groceries and the only check out was self checkout. The checkout monitor lady said 'this is all ya got this morning' when I asked if a conveyor type check out line was open. I am very old school, and prefer to check out in legit checkouts when buying so much at one time Good service goes a LONG way! But this experience was a total pain in the tush...
