Ulta Beauty — Local services in Paris

I had a lovely experience on Thursday 2/27/25 with an associate. Ollie assisted me in the fragrance area. When I arrived, I was greeted at the door by a young lady at the register. As I approached her department, Ollie was helping another customer, but she made sure to make eye contact and greet me with a smile. Once she was done with the other customer, she quickly asked if I needed help. She was very knowledgeable about the products. I ended up purchasing several sets of nails and nail polish and was unsure which items would work for me. Ollie reassured me that if any of the items didn’t fit my needs, I could return them within so many days with my receipt. I'm writing this review because I appreciate experiences like this. As a former retail manager, I rarely encounter young people who care about their customers nowadays, or the products for that matter. Ollie cares about BOTH. Doubtful that I’ll visit Ulta in Paris again. I’ve visited several other locations and it’s not like this. Also, this is not the first bad experience I’ve had in the store. A nice lady greeted me at the door, and that’s the ONLY thing positive about my experience. The other women stood to themselves talking about their important lives and never asked if I needed anything. When I asked for a product, they both looked at me like I was bothering them. They did not know their products in the store! Maybe if they spent less time chatting about their ingrown toenails and researching their products /actually taking an interested in their chosen profession, they would have made a sale. No product knowledge AND terrible customer service. I’d rather order online… from a different business. Update: I have to give credit where credit is due and this ship looks like it's made a turn. The staff at my recent visit was helpful, everyone was friendly and the store was buzzing with activity. Thank you managers and staff, we appreciate having an Ulta that's local and has become a pleasure to visit. Please keep up the good work!!

Previous review: I'm not sure what's going on at this location. It started off a good B- and it's now a D-. No one greets you when you walk in, no one is available to answer any questions and if they are, they react as though you are completely bothering them.
