This place was recommended by another tattoo shop that I went for help with my nose piercing. I had a horrendous Friday 13th piercing experience, and my ring fell out, so I had to improvise for my hole not to close. I was nervous since my nose hurt and was really red. So, VERY HAPPY I LISTENED to the tattoo shop about this recommendation.
I showed up to Ive Noir Piercing without an appointment to ask for help with my nose ring. The receptionist attended me once she was available. I told her my concers, she spoke to the professionals and they agreed to see me. This was called a "troubleshooting" appointment. Since i had no appointment, i had to wait, but i was lucky to get a time slot in between a scheduled in person. They had plenty of cool piercing magazines and comfy lobby seating.
The professional was non judgemental when I told her my horror story. Her solution was to remove the improvised ring and to get the proper cleaning and piercing. She looked all up in my nose to check for an infection, and she properly cleaned it really well. The cleaning hurt(since the hole was only about a week old), but she was so gentle and guided me on what she was doing so I could be prepared.
After my evakuatio and cleaning, She walked me to the piercing show cases, which had dozens of choices and sizes. She told me what types of nose piercings and sizes she recommended for me to get so my nose can heal properly.
Once I had selected my piercing, she took it out of the case, she grabbed a mirror and showed me how it would look on me by holding the piercing next to my nose so i can get a good picture of the final result.
We went back to her private office, and she began the sanitation process on the piercing ring piece that took about 10 minutes. While that was going on, she asked me what I was using to clean the hole and I told her the WaltMart tattoo antibacterial black bottle, and she said to IMMEDIATELY stop using that and to just use saline. To pour it on the nose directly, not to use a cotton swab to shove it in there and just tap to dry.
There are safety videos on their website she recommended me to watch to ensure I remember how to maintenence it during the healing month.
Once the new ring was ready, she cleaned my nose again and prepared me for the removal of the old ring. She had gloves and talked to me the whole time since she told me she had to stick her pinky in my nose to ensure the new ring was properly secured. My nose is little, so her finger didn't fit, but she quickly grabbed her equipment.
She inserted the new piercing, which hurt like hell, but she had given me snacks and water, so I was mentally ready. It hurt, but it was over in no time. She cleaned the area again after the insertion of the ring.
MY NOSE FELT SO MUCH BETTER! the piercing was super cute. For all this service, it was only $51.
That is how my experience should have been when i first got it pierced!!
I am so satisfied with this location. I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR MY PIERCING.

Read moreI went in for my first nose piercing. I had done a decent amount of research on places and talked with multiple people. Ivy Noir came the most highly recommended. Scheduling my appointment was easy online and all the paperwork was completed prior to my appointment which I liked. I got to my appointment about 20 minutes early so I could have time to pick out what jewelry I wanted. The shop is absolutely immaculate! I donât think there was even a speck of dust in the place! I was greeted by the front desk staff who explained what my jewelry options were and then she kindly left me to browse on my own for a few (which again, I appreciated). They have a huge selection! I would recommend at least having a good idea of which metal you want before arriving (white, rose, yellow, titanium). I knew I wanted rose gold so that narrowed me down to one section of the wall. Taylor came out promptly at my appointment time and greeted me. She helped me finalize my selection (I had it narrowed down to three) using a nose model. She then held up my selection in various sizes close to my nose so I could determine what size fit me best. She was appropriately helpful and made me feel empowered when I said, âis it crazy that I like the bigger one?â There was zero pressure from her, instead she helped my inner voice be stronger with my selection. With my selection made, she rang everything up so I could see what my out the door total would be. If I hadnât been comfortable with that price, she would have helped me find a similar style at a lower price point, so again, there was no pressure to feel like I was stuck at a price I wasnât comfortable with. We then went to the room, which was also extremely clean and Taylor re-wiped down the tray so I saw it be cleaned before setting up her supplies. The sterile indicators for the instrument were present in the wrapper and turned indicating they went through the autoclave cycle successfully. (I work in the operating room so that was a huge thing for me that they actually use the indicators and donât cut corners to save a buck). Taylor then talked me through everything and ensured all my questions were answered before she began. She ran my nose ring pieces through the autoclave and placed the guide dot on my nose. She again empowered me to speak up if I didnât like the placement because âitâs way easier to move a dot than a hole!â. She took into account that I plan to wear a hoop once Iâm healed. With the dot to my satisfaction she cleaned my nose and got me talking to distract me. She had me take a breath in and out and then it was done and I LOVE it! Bottom line- Ivy Noir is the place you should go for your piercings. Taylor was highly professional and clearly an expert in her trade. While I canât speak to the other piercersâ work, I did witness Dylan helping another client select their piercings and he was just as phenomenal as Taylor was at helping me. Do yourself a favor and make your appointment...
Read moreBuying from Ivy Noir was the best business interaction I have had with any company. From start to finish, they were so wonderful to deal with, but when things really went wrong, they did something for me that I will always remember and be grateful for and humbled by.
They are a great example of why itâs important to support small businesses, because what they did for me would not have happened with a big company that is only concerned with profit and that does not care about you or the community.
Iâm an out-of-state customer and I purchased a piece of jewelry online from Ivy Noir. The piece I wanted was hard to find and I was so excited that they had it in stock! They were communicative from the beginning, checking in to make sure they had my correct shipping address before they mailed it.
Unfortunately, the jewelry was larger than anticipated for the cartilage piercing I wanted to use it in. Since I had not actually tried it on (my piercing isnât healed yet) they were willing to accept a return. (They didnât have to do thisâsome piercing studios do not accept returns in case the jewelry has been tried on.) After this, I was already very grateful.
I mailed the jewelry back to them USPS priority mail, but did not purchase extra insurance. When the tracking number showed it had arrived, I reached out to inquire about the return. Unfortunately, the package had been badly damaged in shipping, and maybe caught in a piece of equipment, with part of the box ripped open and the jewelry gone! USPS had marked it âreceived unsealed without contents.â
I was so devastated. I had saved up for the jewelry and would have to start over without a refund. I asked for photos, which they sent, so I could at least try to get something from USPS basic insurance and maybe put that amount toward re-purchasing the jewelry in a smaller size somewhere else (if I can find it). I assumed that would be the end of my interactions with Ivy Noir too, since the loss wasnât their fault at all.
To my great surprise, they offered to refund me the full amount anyway! I was floored. What business would do that? Businesses only care about making a profitâright?
I really want to thank Ivy Noir for showing me that some businesses...
