Michaels — Local services in Parker

I had a really positive experience with the staff in the framing department. Steven was my initial contact when I came in for an estimate to mat and frame a counted cross stitch I had completed. He worked with me to create the perfect blend in mat colors and frame. He listened to my ideas and just made it an overall great experience. When I picked up my artwork, I met Sierra (sp). She was very cheerful and outgoing. I picked up right before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I had to bring my project back because the mats had slipped & were no longer even. I noticed this when I got home with it the same day. I thought I'd have to leave the project and return for it at a later date. However, Sierra took the whole thing apart, straightened and secured the mats, then put the entire framing back together, while I waited. It took her about 10 minutes. She was apologetic and gracious through the entire interaction. I was very happy that it could be fixed so quickly. I think I've found my new favorite place for framing. I use Michael's regularly for my framing needs, but this is the location I'll go to in the future. It's not closest to where I live, but...

I ordered and paid for a lamination for my map but got a totally different product: a white cardboard on the back. No lamination. When I complained, I was told it was a “miscommunication with the person who took my order...”. I demanded it would be fixed but got answered that I’ll need to pay $177. What the...??? I took my map and went out of there. Upon leaving, I was required to sign a document indicating that I was satisfied with their lousy work they did. When I refused to sign, I was told I can’t leave the store with my map unless I sign it. I reminded the clerk that I have already paid for their crappy product and it’s my map and they have no right to prevent me from taking it with me. What a despicable service!! What a horrible experience!!! I will never shop at Michaels again!! Stay away...

I am completely disheartened at this store, heck with Michaels all togetherIt has a Christmas Tree marked at $189.99 EACH, but you go to pay and they tell you that is $189 off the regular price! Then they put out a coupon that says 25% off sale items but when you go to use it they have only certain things you can use it for. Bulbs are marked for 11.99 but they ring up what they are marked at tag says $11.99 and it rings up $15.99! Very misleading and although we were good with paying the price it was the principal at that point. How many people get there, especially with children and go to pay and end up paying it to save pride or to keep their little ones happy for Christmas? Won’t ever do business with them again as they are misleading and ripping off people just wanting to enjoy...
