Lauren Fay neglected and abused my horse. I never leave reviews but she left my horse from Florida secluded and outside unblanketed from: 03/02/19: 2 degrees 03/03/19: -4 degrees 03/04/19: 0 degrees 03/05/19: 2 degrees

She also used a lip twitch and a nose shank on a horse with nerve damage to his face. She tried to IM my other horse over 10 times, unsuccessfully, and gave him a hemotoma on his neck. Under her care, one of my horses fractured his navicular. I've personally witnessed her "discipline" a horse that wouldn't pick up his left lead by backing him up until he fell on himself. Regardless of how often she cancels lessons, or simply fails to show up, she hops barns, cannot provide proper medical care, and disregards the care of the animals in her program.

Please be warned, this is not an individual you want in charge...

I have the pleasure of taking horseback riding lessons from Lauren (owner of HAE) and it is an amazing experience. Lauren is not only a skilled rider, but also a patient and knowledgeable teacher. She takes the time to understand my skill level and goals, and tailors each lesson to help me improve. We had an amazing time at Higher Altitude Equestrains! My partner and I were in Denver to visit friends and see the sites. On the recommendation of our friends we tried Higher Altitude and it was amazing! The owner, Lauren, was so understanding, knowledgeable and friendly, she really made us feel comfortable and confident being around the horses (which were beautiful btw). She took the time to get to know us and understand our experience level (my partner had previously ride, while I had not). Lauren has built a wonderful business and family at Higher Altitudes with her integrity and skill. I will be recommending them to literally everyone that I know....
