I recently interacted with Paul at Zoom Auto Group in regards to purchasing a car, and unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations. From the start, I was interested in moving forward with the vehicle, but communication was extremely slow. I requested detailed photos of some defects and damage to the car multiple times via email, but these were never sent in a timely manner, and I had to follow up repeatedly to get basic responses. Despite my clear interest in purchasing the vehicle, the salesperson did not seem to prioritize my inquiries, leaving me uncertain about whether they were truly interested in making a sale or simply not attentive to my needs as a potential customer. Additionally, I was informed that the car I was interested in was "pending sale," but this lack of communication about the status and delays in providing the requested information made me feel as though my time wasnât valued. After waiting for what felt like an unreasonable amount of time, I ultimately decided to look elsewhere for a car. While I understand that things can get busy in sales, I would expect a much higher level of customer service, especially when dealing with a significant purchase like a vehicle. The experience left me feeling frustrated and ultimately made me take my business elsewhere. I would not recommend this dealership to others based on my experience. I hope this feedback encourages better communication and follow-through for future customers.
11/19/2024 Response First, to clarify the timing, I contacted you on November 15, 2024, at 4:13 PM, which contradicts your claim that I reached out "late Friday night." I would appreciate it if you could review the timestamps accurately before making such statements. Regarding my inquiry about a price adjustment, while you state that I didn't request one on Friday night, I absolutely did. It seems there may be some confusion about this, so I encourage you to review the communication for clarity. Additionally, I initially asked for more details about the car because the floor mats were not in the photos. As Paul acknowledged in our conversation, you appreciated me pointing this out, yet the issue remains unaddressed in your response. The use of the term "Potential Buyer" in your communication seemed dismissive, as if to imply I wasn't a serious prospect. This is a clear reflection of how your team values customers and reflects poorly on the professionalism of your business. If you're going to refer to a potential customer, I suggest doing so with more respect and consideration. Additionally, your response to my review was awkward and unprofessional. Phrases like "first question, first glimpse, first kiss" are unneeded and frankly off-putting. I hope you'll consider how this comes across to potential buyers and how it might impact your brand image. While I understand your one-price policy, this was never clearly communicated in our email exchange. Had this been explained initially, I wouldnât have had to inquire further. It's unfortunate that this was only addressed in your review response, not in our earlier email communications. Regarding your claim about the high-definition photos of the vehicle, you failed to include crucial items like the trunk mats, which I noticed and mentioned. I fully reviewed all available photos, and it was only upon doing so that I realized this key detail was missing. Again, I appreciate that youâve acknowledged this oversight, but itâs concerning that this wasnât addressed sooner. Finally, I am in the market for a car I will be driving, not a quick transaction. I want transparency and thorough communication before making any decisions. Itâs unfortunate that Iâve had to express my frustration in this manner, but I felt it was necessary given how poorly this experience has unfolded. Iâm glad I ultimately chose not to move forward with your dealership after reading the reviews. Moving forward, Iâd encourage you to improve your response times, better communicate your policies, and rethink how you engage with...
Read moreNO TITLE! The worst experience ever!! I would NEVER recommend Zoom Auto Group to anyone. I purchased a vehicle from Allen at Zoom and paid for it all cash 20 plus k in a certified bank check. Allen played nice to get the sale, but that changed quickly. I drove from another state and didn't get there until night, so I could not see all the flaws. Then when I got home & daylit, I noticed that the SUV was full of dog hair. It was embedded all over every carpeted area, indicating that the vehicle was not even detailed. This was obvious because the SUV also had a foul odor. Before arrival, I paid a deposit, so he was expecting me and had ample time to schedule a clean. Allen was dismissive, rude, and disrespectful when I addressed my concerns and acted as if I had made it up. Then, it's currently October, and I have no title for the vehicle I paid in full for in May.
I have two tickets for $150, two for $70, one for129, and two $40 tickets, all for expired registration/tags. Zoom Auto Group still refuses to issue another temp tag to allow me to drive safely and without issue; when this is their dilemma to manage, yet the customer is being punished. Zoom employees took zero ownership. Zoom sold the car, so they must ensure I get what I need to register it. Zoom keeps passing the buck! Paul said it was FedEx and the DMV at fault, but I gave my money to Zoom, who has already been paid months ago, but I am losing money in tickets because I cannot register a vehicle I own. Each time I call regarding this matter, it is like the first time that I advised of the issue, and Paul in titles sells me a dream that he is handling the matter, or he says he thought someone else did it when he was on vacation. This is just a horrible interaction, and I would not wish this on anyone. Please buy your car with yourself in mind because Zoom only wants your money. The rest is rudeness and excuse after excuse. Paul drafted an unofficial letter of ownership in September after I complained again about getting pulled over and getting more tickets, and he declined to pay for any of the tickets, but even the letter drafting seemed forceful because he promised the letter months ago, and it was never received. I am just disgusted with cops thinking I stole a vehicle I own. I bought it to drive, not as decoration, so now I have to drive unlawfully because of Zoom affiliate's negligence or neglect. Zoom offers no solutions I would hate to see anyone go through this, so RUN don't walk to the next dealership. I intend to file a complaint with the BBB and any other agency that they advise. #Poor Customer Service...
Read morelooked into this dealership website interested in 2012 Lancer GT. The Car had low miles 46k to be exactly, and was 1.5k under market value. I called them up talked to lady receptionist (don't remember her name) ask if they still had the car in inventory. she assured me that it was still available. I set-up an app to test drive, and explained to her i live about 45 minutes away don't want to take the drive for nothing. So i drive up there only for one of the salesmen to tell me a customer came in put a deposit and took the car to his personal mechanic 15 mins ago. I was annoyed The fact no one called me, and notified me about the situation. salesmen ask me if i was interested in another vehicle, but me being angry i just told them they wasted my time and left.
about 2 weeks later I saw the same car still on their site. giving them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the salesmen didn't know i was coming. I called once again, and spoke to salesmen's that i was coming to see it, and I even asked what happened to the person that put a deposit. salesmen's made a story up about how the person said they had their own loan but he lied and couldn't get approved. so now this is my second time driving up there. I am greeted by the detailing/mechanic guy? great person really blunt , nice, and seemed honest. he is really the only real reason why this review has two stars. he shows me the car first thing I notice right of the bat is the car has huge cigarette burns on all seats in the vehicle but not just one or two but about 6-7 burns. Next the rims were damaged due to the previous owner not knowing how to park properly, paint had bunch of scratches everywhere, and front car emblem was missing. The website pictures made it seem like this car was super clean(not the case)I thought that the emblem was painted over .. no it's actually missing. so that's not even the best part I test drive it, and come to find out the tranny was shot it would grind loud at second gear. Now it all made sense to as why the person with the deposit didn't buy this junk. I pulled back up to the lot to see the salesmen eating his sandwich outside. first thing he says is " what if we can service that, and add a warranty on it." I quickly denied that offer you could tell he was full of it(literally). I didn't want to waste my time any more then I already have with these people! They're sketchy, and selling lemons (well at least the vehicle I saw) I will never walk into this place again, and I hope this review helps someone out. PLEASE DONT BE ME AND WASTE YOU TIME! FIND A PLACE THE VALUES...
