My wife Margo was admitted to reminiscence care April 2024 after a five year battle with Alzheimer’s. Her dementia worsened quickly despite the best efforts of the team, which was extremely caring and responsive. After a month she required medication management for several weeks in a hospital geriatric psych unit.

I visited often, never providing any notice that I was coming. Regardless of when I visited, I found her care appropriate and the staffing levels commensurate with the patients needs.

She deteriorated rather quickly and her needs escalated to the highest level. The team worked closely with the hospice company as well. She passed away seven months after admission. Sunrise of Mt Lakes has given my mother ( 95yrs young ), a new life!! The facility is new and beautiful!! From the moment we walked into visit I knew I did not want my mother to be anywhere else!! The professionalism and friendliness of the staff is outstanding! The staff is warm and welcoming!! I can give names but I honestly I would be afraid to leave someone’s name out. They are all Wonderful!! The social activities are by far the best!! There are group exercises, games, socials, art class. Day trips and so much more. We couldn’t be more pleased with Sunrise of Mountain Lakes. Every inch of the facility looks like a luxury hotel, and it is immaculate. The staff is very experienced, professional, creative, accommodating and compassionate. The chef and his staff are especially creative and excellent. Perhaps most importantly, for our situation, are the very creative, varied, healthy and well executed daily activities that encompass exercise and hydration, cognitive stimulation, art, music, cooking, and socialization.
