My experience with Paul Millers Subaru group in Parsippany from the begining with an online inquiry to the end was nothing but fantastic. I'm not a big write a review guy either.
I sent over requests for 2 or 3 cars to get a feel on prices.. Tatiana was great with replying. I even ghosted them a few times bouncing around looking at all car company deals. But each time I came back they were there like an old friend.
After a few weeks of my search I found 2 cars I wanted. I went in, I sat with Dashawn, they were sold. Damn. He showed me the nearest to what I was looking for in my price range. Never with an agenda to get me into something I didn't want. I was discouraged that the car I wanted was gone. I told him thanks but no thanks.. he was great and helpful even in this situation.
I should every make model deal I could. I ended up at another Subaru location on a referral. I had to pull teeth to get in my price range. Back and forth 6-7-8 times. I agreed to a deal except the car would be a week away. I left, happy but not so happy, it felt like work, but $34k worse.
I get home go to another company, no dice. On my way home I call Tatiana again... Hey I left there a few days ago without pricing on these models.. she got me right to our next hero in the process, Sharon the sales manager. I told her the truth, I checked out another Subaru store. She asked why did I go so far we are neighbors. She literally throw out an IDENTICAL offer in the first 2 mins telling her my story. We agreed to a price in minutes that was better than my 3 hour battle at the other Subaru dealership. She gave me all the time I needed to discuss it with my wife. It was too good to pass up.
I was told the cars going in for detailing and prepped for me at like 445, they close at 6, they say come when your ready. I get there like 515. Go right up to Deshawn and he was as happy as the first time I met him, just a nice, honest, positive, straight forward, respectful down to earth guy.
It was easy to pick up where we left off. The paperwork was already on the desk ready to go.
We went to the finance department. I met Carlos, who is probably the most honest, informative and insightful finance guy I've ever met. A truly great person, the kind you want to sign 25 pages of paperwork with.
They were both stuck there with me on a Saturday night well past closing. Deshawn went over every feature in the car, with zero rush.
None of this felt even 1/8th as bad or worse than work like the other dealership.
You may show up and not get lucky enough to sit with Deshawn or Carlos, but if you can ask for them, do it.
An overall incredible experience from a person that hates typical sales people.
Forget about the great deal and quality car I bought... The people at this Paul Miller store are there working for you from bottom to top.
Thank you to Deshawn, Carlson, Sharon & Tatiana for dealing with a not so easy customer like me and still getting the best possible deal on a super reliable...
Read moreI only write reviews for experiences that are terrible, or so above-and-beyond great. Paul Miller Subaru is Above-and-beyond great. This is probably the smoothest car buying experience I’ve had - and it happened because of Paul Miller Subaru’s rockstar team.
For context; I ordered a 2023 BRZ from another dealership in August, 2022. I heard nothing about it for 5 months and quickly began losing confidence that I’d ever get this car. I began calling around to several other dealerships, all if whom promised a brz within a few weeks. I even left another deposit with a Connecticut based Subaru just to try and get the BRZ sooner.
One of the Subarus I called was Paul Miller Subaru, who had a BRZ listed on cargurus. Unfortunately, the unit was sold, but I told Alivia to please let me know if anything changes with the sale. A few weeks later, on Monday, January 30th, shortly after cancelling my 5 month order at the original dealership, I got an unexpected call from Alivia - who told me that the BRZ I inquired about weeks ago had just become available. I jumped on it. I asked her how much over msrp they were selling it for, as most of the dealerships I’ve talked to had at least a $1000 markup. It was at this point that she told me that Paul Miller Subaru is a NO MARKUP DEALERSHIP. That alone warrants 5 stars.
After telling her I wanted the BRZ she then forwarded me to Dashawn, who would finalize the sale. Dashawn was just as excellent as Alivia. He responded promptly and accurately, even to my more specific requests, such as not having the car washed or unwrapped for when I came to pick it up. I wholeheartedly appreciate Dashawn’s no BS straightforwardness, and his easy going, yet efficient approach to the sale. All the numbers were finalized over the course of 3 days, and only through texts, emails and the occasional call.
On Monday Jan 30, I had lost all hope of getting a BRZ in a timely manner - and by that FRIDAY the team at Paul Miller Subaru had me driving off the lot in a brand new, 2023 BRZ. Alivia, Dashawn, and Carlos exemplify how the car buying experience should be - and it’s clear that Paul Miller Subaru promotes this throughout their entire team. Expect me to buy all of my...
Read moreMany times in the automotive sales industry highly qualified sales/service is not respected and goes unnoticed. There are too many times when bad sales/service and poor results are amplified to the point that it drowns out the satisfied customer. Being a woman and shopping for a car is usually not synonymous with a heavenly experience. I can honestly say I couldn't be more thrilled with the entire experience at Paul Miller Subaru. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with genuine respect, transparency, and professionalism….something that's becoming increasingly rare in the car-buying world. My sales consultant Dashawn was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. He took the time to understand my life style, what I was looking for, answered every question thoroughly (no high pressure tactics!), and helped me decide what model would be the perfect fit for me. He even put tabs on the pages of the getting started guide for quick access to the most common questions!. I truly felt like he had my best interests in mind. When the time came for final negotiations, the general manager Sharon stepped in to sweeten the deal and ensure that I left there as an extremely satisfied new customer. What I liked best was that Paul Miller Subaru’s pricing was detailed and all inclusive, non-aggressive, with a generous discount! The financing process was smooth and straightforward. They walked me through all of my options and made sure I understood everything before signing. I never felt rushed or overwhelmed. The after-sale car orientation was very thorough and clear. If I had any questions or issues, they were promptly addressed. What was comforting was the constant reemphasis of his availability later on for additional help or clarification. I wouldn't be left on an island! I will definitely be recommending this dealership to family and friends. The whole experience was a no pressure affair from the moment I walked in to the smile on my face driving away with my new Crosstrek with full confidence in my purchase!
5 Star...
