N° 147 number 147 — Local services in Pasadena

1 out of 2 stars is because the first and second visits were sooo good so that I returned for the 3rd time. This time, when I booked the appointment, with no choice, Motoki is the only one that's available; but I had not hesitation to go for it based on my previous experiences and reviews on Google. However, HUGE mistake. I asked for simple layers and shorten the length with no blunt cut. It seemed good on surface, the cut underneath is actually extremely choppy and so uneven, some of my hair underneath were cut extremely short and blunt. Layers were not blending, but just sitting on top. I had to go to another hair dresser for fix, and the 2nd hair dresser was shocked about the cut and how bad it looked. Fortunately, I got it fixed, just have to cut my hair even shorter to fix. I don't know what going on, but for professional hair dresser, how can you cut hair unevenly? very very...

“Number 147” is located in beautiful city of Pasadena. Close by my home, I have seen this classic building before while driving, immediately I felt safe in the environment they have followed all the procedures and it was so clean, with modern decoration. The hair stylist name is “Nana”She is my favorite hair stylist in LA. At her previous salon location, and here she always delivered! She started her career in Japan. As you know the hair salon industry in Japan is very competitive and consumer always demand the supreme service!! Again, she cut my hair very nice, the shampoo and massage was refreshing and relaxing after not having a good style because of the pandemic I feel whole again. I definitely recommend “Number 147”...

Would be incorrect to call it an extension of the Japanese hair salon - as the 'chairs' are hired out to stylists. And wow Motoki is problematic and possibly does not recall his training. He doesn't understand color theory and left my hair in an awful condition. I went to another salon to get the color corrected, who were appalled. Does Motoki know how to cut hair? Yes Can Motoki color correct or add depth to hair? No - additionally not able to understand *how to create the change - becomes the crux of a thorough waste of time and money.
