Pizza Lounge — Restaurant in Pasadena

What a disappointment!!! This restaurant has 4.5 star average reviews and I cannot understand how! We spent 30 min here and left. We were in town for business and stayed close by. The waitress/hostess hardly greeted us after we waited at the entrance and mumbled something that sounded like ‘Just sit anywhere’. So I asked about the upstairs seating and she said “no, it’s a party room”. So we seated ourselves. We waited a bit and then she came back to ask if we wanted ‘water or something’ 😲 No hospitality, no service etiquette…… We ordered calamari for starter and caprese salad and chicken Parmesan plate for entree. Calamari looked good but it is mostly breading and you can hardly taste any calamari. Our chicken arrived without the salad so we waited for that. When the Caprese salad arrived, it looked soooooo good! Large fresh basil leaves and soft mozzarella.

I couldn’t wait to taste it.

Yuck 🤮. They take this amazing fresh salad and pour dried mixed herbs all over it. We sent it back without another bite. We got garlic rolls with our entree and that was probably the best part of the meal. I do not recommend this restaurant. The waitress needs a LOT of training and she never checked on us except to drop off food at our table. We finished our chicken and not once did she come over to our table to see how our food was. Very poor service and bad attitude (no care attitude) from her. And the music…… this is a personal preference but most of the people in the restaurant were older couples or families. So why play rap music for dinner…..🤔 and I wouldn’t want my kids listening to some of the words that we were forced to...

I wanted to try this place because I needed to use the restroom one day and without hesitation or issue, they let me. We went on a Saturday afternoon. They were having an event or something and we had to sit upstairs. We sat and then another couple sat after us. The waitress greeted the other couple and did not give any acknowledgement to us. Just handed us menus and turned to keep getting and talking to the other couple. I did not feel valued as their customer and started to feel discriminated because we were Hispanic, but I left it alone. The glasses of water were in different sizes which was confusing. The food was good and the sauce was watery, but still good. The manager said it was watery because of the vegetables so I'm unsure if they use frozen or just add them without sauteed style. Anyways to make it more interesting, fire ants starting crawling on us and on the table and I got bit. I told the waitress and she said the manager would do something to take care of it. I'm thinking because I got bit, but no the waitress said he would put medicine and not let anyone sit in that area. I received no apologies or no check in from the manager. From a customer service experience perspective, our time did not go very well at all. I did tell the waitress about not feeling welcomed at the beginning because she ignored us and she said it was because the other people arrived first. I explained to her that we arrived first, but I don't think she understand that it didn't matter because customer service involves treating everyone equaling with...

This place is in a little corner and unsuspecting of its true nature. It seems a bit hidden away so imagine my surprise when I walked in and found this awesome little oasis.

This is a great spot. The bar is beautiful! The tap wall was impressive! This is a midtown, heights, montrose etc kind of place.

It could easily be picked up and sat right down in the center of houstons night life and fit right in.

How lucky to have this spot so close by!

The food is fabulous Italian fare. Great smelling, great looking and great tasting. Amazing!

I found the staff to be a perfect fit for this establishment as well. They ate friendly and have a laid back vibe that adds to the relaxed atmosphere while being professional and making sure hospitality and service is on par with the great food and drink.

They have a patio too. I didn't spend any time out there but I certainly will in the future. There's so much they have to offer and I'm excited to spend the time enjoying it all.

If you like beer and like to have options and try new things then come check out their draft beer wall. If you like great Italian this is the spot.

I can't say enough what a surprise this spot is. Did yall know this was here? I didn't. I've been all over this town and had no ides.

This seems like it should be the local spot. It's perfect for date night, it's perfect for friend and family get together and enjoy food and drink, it's perfect to cone in alone and just unwind.
